Disappointed with the quality and…
Disappointed with the quality and proposed resolution
I switched to SWAY hair extensions expecting a premium product, but unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing.
I have worn Beauty Works tape extensions for around 10 years without ever experiencing the issues I’ve had with SWAY. Despite following every piece of SWAY’s aftercare advice religiously, using only the recommended SWAY products, and styling only with Dyson Corrale straighteners set to 165°C, the extensions became very dry, faded and looked poor much sooner than I would have expected.
My hairdresser initially contacted SWAY on my behalf, but I felt I needed to follow up personally because I was so disappointed with the quality. The response was that the entire set of extensions would need to be returned for testing to determine whether there was a manufacturing fault.
What makes this particularly upsetting is that I wear extensions because my hair has thinned significantly following sepsis, and they play a huge part in my confidence. Being asked to remove my entire set, rather than testing a representative sample, feels like an unreasonable solution given the personal impact it will have. I appreciate that quality testing may be necessary, but I had hoped there would be a more practical and customer-focused approach.
For a product marketed as premium, I expected much better longevity and overall quality. Having worn tape extensions continuously for the past decade, I have a good comparison point, and in my experience these have been noticeably inferior to the Beauty Works extensions I have used previously.
