Partial Scam / Hidden Conditions / Balance Manipulation
This is not a reliable virtual card service — this is a bait-and-switch scheme.
I purchased a $150 virtual card from cardn3.com. Their website clearly states that only $5 is charged as a card issuance fee, and the rest should be available for spending.
After payment, they suddenly demanded another $150 “for activation” — a condition that was not transparently disclosed before purchase. This is classic post-payment pressure.
When I refused and threatened to publish reviews on Trustpilot, they suddenly “made an exception” and activated the card without the extra $150. During this conversation, support was rude, even calling me names like “mad" etc.
Major red flags:
No way to see the real card balance in their dashboard.
No transaction transparency.
No proper support system.
At they point I had a free trial on ChatGPT and couldn't check if there is money on card.
To verify whether any money was actually on the card, I had to pay for a Twitter subscription I didn’t need, just to test the card.
In 1 month when ChatGPT trial ended, payment failed. I contacted cardn3.com about this but they totally ignored my messages.
This strongly indicates that the full balance was never available, despite being paid for.
This is a partial scam designed to:
Take your initial deposit. Hide the real balance. Push you to deposit more. Disappear when the service fails.
Do not trust this company.
Do not rely on their cards for subscriptions.
You may lose part of your money with no way to prove it.
Regarding the unusually high number of 5-star reviews:
Based on my documented experience, a significant portion of the positive reviews on this page raises serious red flags. Many of them use marketing-style language, describe generic benefits of virtual cards rather than concrete interactions with cardn3.com, and focus exclusively on the initial onboarding phase.
Several reviews claim “full transparency” and “clear balance visibility”. This directly contradicts my documented evidence: the platform does not provide real card balance visibility, and funds can be deducted internally without proof of service delivery.
Taken together, these patterns are commonly associated with incentivized or inauthentic feedback rather than long-term, problem-resolution user experience.
Readers should be aware that issues tend to surface later — during subscription renewals, failed charges, or refund requests — a stage not reflected in most 5-star reviews here. The gap between these reviews and the platform’s actual behavior suggests systemic reputation manipulation, not isolated misunderstandings.
