More than three years ago, I joined Lennard, Tobias, Jonas and Karl at Langdock.
The product was still taking shape. But I knew the people and their ambition. That was enough to make me want to join.
One of our first taglines was “A GDPR-compliant Chat.”
It captured our starting point: giving European companies access to powerful AI in a way they could actually use at work.
Today, more than 13,000 companies use Langdock. And working closely with our customers, we see how much has changed since then.
Writing, analysis and access to company knowledge are often where teams start. From there, they build agents, connect their tools and bring AI into processes that involve whole teams.
The shift is from “I used AI to help with a task” to “Our company now handles this process differently.”
That is why we are extending Langdock into more parts of how companies work:

𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 brings the same platform to developers, helping them build software with AI agents.
Bringing this together on one platform means customers can build on what they have already set up as they bring AI into more parts of their business. Teams can explore new use cases while IT keeps a shared view of access, usage and costs.
Less work connecting and managing separate tools, more time helping people use AI in ways that actually improve their work.
The same applies to what runs underneath. With 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝, customers can increasingly get the applications, managed inference for open-source models, and the infrastructure and hosting from one German provider.
This gives companies more control over where their AI runs, how it is deployed and how their data and costs are managed.
As our ambition grows, we are putting down deeper roots in Europe. We restructured Langdock from a US entity, which we had as a Y Combinator company, into a Societas Europaea registered in Germany.
For me, what makes this exciting is building something from Europe that companies around the world choose because it helps their people do better work. We want to show that building here and thinking globally go together.
Sovereignty, privacy and control are part of that foundation. But they cannot replace a great product. Customers should choose Langdock because it is the best platform for how they want to work, not simply because it is European.
