Update: I am considering not posting any more content to itch.io for the time being due to the (hopefully temporary) censorship campaigns by itch's payment processors.
If you are not aware of christofascist lobbying groups targeting steam and itch, or if you are, but have been misled into thinking this is a campaign just against "dead dove" content (it isn't), I recommend this Wikipedia article as a reading primer. I checked all sources myself and wrote some of it, especially in the founder's page before the lobbying group's content was spun off into its own page. As far as I am aware, with the information currently available it is an accurate portrayal of the situation.
Anyway - Itch's current terms, where they are effectively held hostage by their processors, are not acceptable to me. I understand this is due to external pressure, but I still cannot rely on the website while the risk of a payment freeze sits in place . If you at all care about artistic freedom, make your displeasure with censorship known - to your payment processor, politicians, and platforms.
The message here was previously worded more aggressively - however upon further research I think itch is the victim here, even though their communication had, yes, been terrible before their recent updates. I hope this situation is mended soon, and I hope to see you again.
I have not kept revshare with itch at 0%, and I do not recommend it to others either as that hurts itch but does not harm payment processors. My share is at 10% at the moment.

I worked in translating many different games to Brazilian Portuguese, some of which you may have heard of. I worked in the localization projects for Kenshi, Darkwood, Zachtronics' Opus Magnum, and Snowdrop Escape. The first two were a group effort, and the last two were solo jobs.
