1. Purpose & Customizable Architecture
Avalanche was created to solve blockchain scalability and flexibility for large-scale applications. Its key differentiator is the subnet (Avalanche L1) model. This allows developers, gaming studios, or institutions to launch their own dedicated blockchain. Each subnet can have its own validator set, token for gas fees, and governance rules, while still benefiting from the security and interoperability of the broader Avalanche network (Phemex). This design aims to avoid the congestion common on shared networks like Ethereum.
2. Technology & Token Utility
The platform uses a triple-chain system. The C-Chain is Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible, allowing developers to easily port Ethereum dApps. The X-Chain handles asset creation and transfers, and the P-Chain coordinates validators and subnet creation. The native AVAX token is used to pay for transaction fees (which are burned, creating deflationary pressure), secure the network through staking, and serve as a basic unit of account across subnets (Bitrue).
