Guillaume Garreau reposted thisGuillaume Garreau reposted thisWhen early arrivals and unexpected delays collide with rigid, static stand allocations, planning teams are often forced into reactive reassignments. Trying to eliminate unpredictability on the apron is impossible, but optimizing how your schedule absorbs it isn't. Instead of applying uniform static buffers across every rotation, ResourceManager's dynamic buffers widen margins where flights are uncertain and tighten them where arrivals are highly predictable. This intelligent orchestration unlocks hidden capacity across the entire day-of-operations. Dynamic buffers safely compress the stand plan to create space during peak travel periods. This increase in space equates to up to 19 extra flights per day all with zero construction and no added risk to schedule. Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/ejF7Z9wk

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth in Paris. Until next time 👋

Guillaume Garreau reposted thisGuillaume Garreau reposted this⚡ The Archilogic CSV import extension just got more powerful. Importing data into your Space Graph floor plan has always been possible. But the time-consuming part was manually assigning that data to a target resource. That step is gone. → Drop in your CSV, and assign the data automatically to the right spaces or assets → Add any data point you track: cost centers, teams, asset tags, lease terms → Update the source, re-import, and the floor plan stays in sync This works because the Space Graph is structured data, not a drawing. Every element has a stable identity, so your data knows where it belongs. One source of truth for your buildings, and any user can keep it that way. 🧭

Guillaume Garreau reposted thisGuillaume Garreau reposted thisFor over a decade, we’ve worked on making store operations simpler and more engaging: deploying smart data capture to help frontline workers, customers and businesses. One area of retail we hadn’t yet addressed was loss prevention. Until today. Grocery retailers operate on thin margins. And according to ECR Retail Loss, close to 0.5% of everything flowing through self-checkout is lost. That’s why we’re so focused on it: self-checkout loss is where margin disappears. We looked at the current solutions: exit gates, weight scales, or just adding more associates to watch the lanes. Most of these "fixes" are more frustrating than helpful. They add friction for the shopper and drive up labor costs. That’s why we’re launching Self-Checkout Loss Prevention, our first dedicated solution in this space. We built it to help retailers recover losses while protecting team productivity. Vision AI identifies common loss patterns, and recovers or deters more than 75% of self-checkout losses. It never uses facial recognition or biometrics. Together with Age Verified Self-Checkout, which we launched back in July, retailers can run a self-checkout lane that pulls an associate away far less often. Full announcement: https://okt.to/sKmSb9

Guillaume Garreau reposted thisGuillaume Garreau reposted thisEvery retailer I talk to wants two things when it comes to their self-checkout deployments: a fast checkout experience and strong loss prevention. Not one or the other. Self-Checkout Loss Prevention now gives them a software-first way to achieve both. Launched today, Self-Checkout Loss Prevention uses vision AI to spot loss patterns. In case of a missed scan, it gives shoppers a soft nudge and a chance to re-scan, without the need for associate intervention. The process is also configurable to a retailer’s own policy. It deploys as a per-station architecture. And more importantly, it analyzes items and transaction activities, not faces. I wrote more about what we built 👉 https://okt.to/uR5p7T

Guillaume Garreau reposted thisGuillaume Garreau reposted this✈️💡 Airport operations are becoming too complex for static plans, and AI is stepping in to help make every gate decision smarter. Assaia, a leader in AI and computer vision for airport operations, has attracted an investment from United Airlines Ventures, the venture capital arm of United Airlines, to support the development of its new StandManager product. Part of Assaia’s ResourceManager platform, StandManager brings together operational data, business rules and real-time conditions to help airlines and airports make more informed stand and gate allocation decisions. 🤝 Beyond the investment, the partnership brings valuable aviation expertise from United Airlines, helping Assaia further develop solutions for the increasingly complex challenges of airport operations. A strong example of how industry-backed innovation can turn AI into practical tools for improving the way airports operate. 🔗 Discover the full story in the article below. Guillaume Garreau reposted thisAs privacy-preserving on-device age assurance becomes the gold standard in our industry - automated age assurance systems will become self learning and intelligent- without compromising user data privacy.Guillaume Garreau reposted thisAgeAI+ is our fully on-device age assurance system, supporting Facial Age Estimation, ID and Digital ID reading — all on-device, without the need to send facial images or identity data to the cloud for processing. Our newly granted patent builds on a vision we have pursued for years: privacy-preserving age assurance that is on-device, multimodal and capable of learning from different signals. That vision is increasingly becoming reality through intelligent age assurance terminals now finding their way into retail and hospitality environments across multiple geographies. Proud to have pioneered it. Excited to see where it goes next.

Guillaume Garreau liked thisGuillaume Garreau liked thisBefore attending NRF 2026: Retail's Big Show Europe in Paris this week, we gathered our team in the French countryside for our latest Global Team Outing. Three days when everyone at Scandit is in the same place, at the same time. This is rarer than it sounds for a company spread across as many countries as we are. This year’s GTO theme was “One for All, All for Impact”. A reminder that we can move fast when everyone is aligned on a shared mission, a strong vision and a clear strategy. We spoke more about our strategy during fireside chats and roundtables with our extended leadership team, helped our teams get hands on with our latest product innovations and let everyone engage with key initiatives. But beyond strategy, what makes it work is our culture and our people. Our values unite us yet each Scandit brings something unique to this team. This is how a group becomes a team, and a how team becomes a winning company. It was fantastic catching up in person, seeing familiar faces alongside new ones, and seeing teams reunite after months on Zoom calls. And as always after such events, I came back energized, proud of our global team and even more confident about where we’re headed. Curious to hear how others bring their distributed teams together and align everybody around a shared mission and vision.

Guillaume Garreau reacted on thisGuillaume Garreau reacted on thisYou’ve probably seen the headlines: hackers stole more than 150 million driver’s licenses. They allegedly spent an entire year gathering documents before the ID verification provider even noticed the breach. The leaked files contain driver’s licenses, ID cards, and passports, mostly belonging to U.S. citizens. A journalist investigating the incident spotted his own records alongside those of the U.S. Defense Secretary. This is something I always stress when it comes to storing sensitive PII (personally identifiable information): the only way to be totally safe is to keep it on the device. Once your customer’s data leaves their phone and sits in a database on some third-party server, you risk losing control over that information. On-device data processing is the default for Scandit customers. All scanning happens on the device, and no PII data is stored or sent to the cloud unless you choose it. Digital sovereignty is top of mind across Switzerland. @Marc Holitscher, our National Technology Officer, spoke with @Inside IT about how @Microsoft approaches digital sovereignty, what it means in practice, why cybersecurity is central to the discussion, and how we give Swiss organizations control over their data. At Microsoft, we believe digital sovereignty can enable both control and innovation. Swiss organizations can protect their data while still unlocking the full potential of cloud and AI. 👉 Read the full interview here: https://msft.it/6043QM2b3 #MSFTemployee

The cloud market is maturing — and with maturity come growing pains. Vendor lock-in, sovereignty, repatriation — all important topics. “Back to on-prem” sounds strategic. But we shouldn’t ignore the fundamentals: Pure on-prem thinking often drives TCO per workload up significantly due to infrastructure costs and capital investment. Grateful to be featured in the latest IT-BUSINESS deep dive on the evolving cloud landscape. Full article: https://lnkd.in/dpe6TymN #Cloud #DigitalSovereignty #ITStrategy #TCO #HybridCloud #IONOS
