Sylvain Rocheleau posted thisAfter more than 20 years with Pfizer/Upjohn and more recently at Viatris, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone that I have had the privilege and the pleasure to work with throughout the years. I am so grateful to have worked with such a wonderful group of people and such remarkable organizations. Thank you for giving me a professional home. During our time working together, you became more of a family than a group of coworkers. It’s been said that it is the people who make a place, and I can genuinely say that it’s all of you who made each organization an amazing workplace. I’ll always cherish our friendships and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you’ve given me. My best wishes to all, particularly to all my Upjohn friends who will either continue their journey with Viatris or will be looking for new personal challenges. July 10 has always been a bittersweet day for me because it’s also the anniversary of losing my mom. Over the years, though, it’s also become a day that reminds me how life can hold both loss and purpose at the same time. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have spent the past 26 years at Pfizer. For the last 23 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a role focused on improving health system delivery with one goal in mind: helping improve patient outcomes. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside incredibly talented colleagues, healthcare leaders, and partners who share a commitment to making healthcare work better for the people who depend on it. While healthcare continues to evolve, that purpose has remained constant- and it’s one I’m proud to have been part of. Looking back, I’m grateful for the relationships I’ve built, the lessons I’ve learned, and the opportunity to contribute to work that I believe truly makes a difference. Here’s to 26 years of purpose, partnership, and continuing to improve healthcare for patients, and to remembering my mum today 💗

Je tiens à remercier sincèrement Chantal Demers, Martin Lassonde et Mike Dutton pour cette belle reconnaissance. Cette distinction me permet de réfléchir aux nombreuses personnes qui ont contribué à mon parcours au fil des ans. J’ai une pensée toute particulière pour Jean‑François Laporte, Mélanie Dubé, Patrick Bélisle et Lyne Raymond, qui ont exercé une influence significative sur mon développement professionnel. Plusieurs collègues ont également joué un rôle important et m’ont beaucoup apporté. Je leur en suis très reconnaissant. Je n’ai malheureusement pas eu la chance de connaître M. Dave Oatman avant son décès, mais les témoignages de collègues m’ont permis d’en apprendre davantage sur la personne qu’il était. C’est un immense privilège et un grand honneur de voir aujourd’hui mon nom associé au sien.

The past 2.5 years have been incredibly rewarding. I had the privilege of working alongside exceptional leaders and colleagues, and I am proud of what we accomplished together to help build Canada's aT1D early detection ecosystem.
