About
Hello! I recently completed my Ph.D. in Physics at the McWilliams Center for Cosmology at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was advised by Rachel Mandelbaum. My research focused on observational cosmology, particularly weak gravitational lensing, statistical inference, and the development of computational methods for precision cosmological measurements. During my Ph.D., I developed analytical calibration techniques for galaxy shape measurements, statistical methods for large-scale survey analysis, and software for weak-lensing inference. My work has been applied to preparations for upcoming cosmological surveys, including the Vera C. Rubin Observatory's Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) and the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope.Prior to graduate school, I recieved a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics (specialization in Astrophysics) from the Univeristy of California, Irvine.
Research
My primary research area is weak gravitational lensing with a particular interest in utilizing statistical and machine learning methods to perform cosmological analysis on large survey dataset, such as the Vera R. Observatory's Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST), the Subaru Telescope's Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC), and the Roman Space Telescope. My research focuses on 1) turning large dataset into inferences on cosmological models using statistical analysis and 2) analytical estimation for weak lensing distortion from a large ensemble of galaxy images.
