The passport is an open standard. Solidus issues the credentials behind it.
Today an agent’s identity is a wallet address (Coinbase AgentKit) or a row in a commerce registry (Virtuals). That’s enough to move funds — not enough to answer for who is behind it.
The first regulated relying party asks a harder question: who KYC’d the operator, and who issued this agent’s credential? A wallet address has no answer. A registry row points to itself.
ERC-8004 standardizes the agent passport across three on-chain registries. It’s an open EIP, backed by MetaMask, Google, Coinbase, and OriginTrail. It defines the slots; it does not issue the credentials that fill them. That is the layer we build.
