Cybersecurity and CTF Work

CTF Challenges

Chess with WebSockfish (picoCTF) JavaScript console-based Stockfish API solver. Built a legitimate chess engine integration to win CTF challenges via proper gameplay rather than WebSocket manipulation. Demonstrates deep understanding of chess algorithms and socket programming.

Perceptron Decision Boundary Solver CyLab Security Academy challenges. Built Python solvers for 1D and 2D perceptron problems using netcat socket handling. Implemented proper response parsing and weight submission via SET/CHECK commands. Iterated through socket debugging and protocol handling.

Blockchain Reentrancy Exploit (picoCTF) Solidity smart contract exploitation. Developed and tested reentrancy vulnerability exploit using Web3.py against target smart contracts. Deep dive into Ethereum transaction mechanics and contract security flaws.

Credential Stuffing Challenge OWASP vulnerability research. Analyzed and exploited credential stuffing vulnerabilities in web applications. Tested attack vectors and mitigation strategies.

HTB Academy

Windows Privilege Escalation Advanced Windows security module work. Studied and exploited DnsAdmins group exploitation, MS16-032 Secondary Logon Service, ms10_092 Task Scheduler, Druva inSync CVE via port 6064 RPC. Comprehensive credential hunting including PSReadline history, web.config SQL credentials, DPAPI encryption, and Windows event log parsing.

File Transfers Module Mastered Linux and Windows file transfer methods. Experience with SCP, Python HTTP servers, base64 encoding, and cross-platform data exfiltration techniques.

Exploit Research

Command Injection Research Studied command injection vulnerabilities across multiple platforms. Understanding of shell metacharacters, process spawning, and input validation bypass techniques.

Major Projects

The Pentaphthon Minecraft Mod

Advanced Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 mod introducing the Pentaphthon entity roster from analog horror lore. Uses MCreator 2026.1 for entity tooling. Published on Modrinth. Features custom NBT systems, entity AI, and immersive horror gameplay mechanics.

Technologies: Java, Minecraft Forge, MCreator, Gradle, Game Modding

TarballOS (TerribleOS)

64-bit bare metal x86-64 operating system. Custom bootloader in NASM, kernel in assembly and C++17 (freestanding, no stdlib). Features: ZSystem filesystem (16 slots), KASLR via RDTSC, VGA text mode, ATA PIO driver, 40+ shell commands, installer wizard, BSOD handler. Successfully debugged critical issues: GDT gdt_code64/gdt_data64 limit changed from dw 0x0000 to dw 0xFFFF to fix GPF, removed rdmsr/wrmsr NX setup causing triple fault at RIP=0x10005 (bootloader already enabled long mode), RTC CMOS for 35Hz tic. Integrated Chocolate Doom port with custom SDL-free i_video_tarball.c graphics layer achieving nearest-neighbour upscale of 320x200 paletted buffer. Source at C:\Users\Muhammad\Desktop\terribleos. Output: tarball.img (10MB raw disk image). Toolchain: NASM, LLVM/clang++ at C:\Program Files\LLVM\bin, QEMU.

Technologies: x86-64 Assembly, C++17, NASM, QEMU, OS Development

Minecraft Clone - Vulkan and SDL2
