Release 0.13.0 Breaking changes: - **BREAKING** Ruleset 14 two-ends tuning replaces statistical-cap permission: every bounded day step needs an exact-profile 50-hour hold and night qualification beneath C; status/watch show D/C/U, holds, stops and experimental fixed-rate evidence rather than remaining permission to S. Ruleset 13 sessions are archived unchanged and successors start at verified stock, importing eligible raw observations and reconstructing campaign events, stops and vetoes; missing history blocks nonzero exploration. The two-event machine allowance includes provisional charges and is never renewed by restart, reset, firmware change, new session or reboot; reset ends raw tuning carry but preserves the campaign ledger ([#1500]).
Release 0.12.0 Breaking changes: - **BREAKING** An active Rust ruleset-1 session is archived into a seeded ruleset-2 session; covered live R7 failures locate immediately, covered carried failures stay unmoved, and carried failures no longer take voltage targets from later passes ([#969]). - **BREAKING** The first `togi run` after updating archives the current session and starts a new one that maps from scratch, keeping the raw day observations, because Ruleset 13 now tests at night and steps the day profile one CCD at a time; its first night runs stock controls before mapping, see [how togi tunes](../docs/how-togi-tunes.md) ([#1261]). - **BREAKING** A night has no end time: `togi run` tunes until you end the night with Ctrl-C, `F10`, the power button or a reboot, or until a dead end stops it, so remove `--until`, `--cycles` and `--first-result` from anything that runs it ([#1261]). - **BREAKING** An unresolved too-aggressive known-defect finding stops the run as a dead end (exit 17) until `togi reset --all`, instead of asking to reset the affected cores ([#1261]). - **BREAKING** The settings `start_offsets`, `candidate_solo_limits`, `durations.search_trial_s`, `durations.short_trial_s`, `durations.checking_trial_s`, `durations.checking_idle_s`, `durations.checking_all_core_s`, `evidence.miss`, `evidence.rate` and `checking.cycle` are retired: a configuration that sets one fails to load with an error naming it, so remove them ([#1261]). - **BREAKING** `togi reset --core` and `togi reset --config` are removed; `togi reset --all` archives the session and starts over ([#1261]).
Release 0.11.0 Breaking changes: - **BREAKING** The next `togi run` archives a ruleset-9 or ruleset-10 session and starts a ruleset-11 session that carries its eligible same-BIOS facts, candidate solo limits and failure points but none of its offsets, phases or passed cycles: each core's carried solo limit is checked again, from carried passes where they suffice, then checking runs phase 1, phase 2 and the confirmation cycle under the new rules ([#683]).
Release 0.10.0 Breaking changes: - **BREAKING** Rename `[checking] lap` to `cycle` and `durations.start_s` to `short_trial_s` in `config.toml`, and use `togi run --cycles` instead of `--laps`; the old names are refused ([#397]). - **BREAKING** The next run archives the current session and starts a new one carrying its candidate solo limits, failure points and facts, because the journal moves to schema 4 with renamed kinds, fields and values; archived journals of schemas 1 to 3 are still read ([#397]). - **BREAKING** Existing sessions move to ruleset 9 on the next `run`, carrying their same-BIOS facts: multi-core R7 checking runs each CCD's full part, then partial loads that idle successive top voltage requesters, and every multi-core R7 failure backs off a core by voltage-targeted counts instead of starting a hunt, unless that core already sits shallower than in the failure; a top group already at CO 0 steps down within its CCD, an all-core failure leaves out a CCD that was entirely at CO 0 while the other CCD can still move, unless a stalled core confined the failure to that CCD, and a named core at 0 dead-ends only if it was a top requester ([#402]).
Release 0.9.0 Breaking changes: - **BREAKING** The next run archives the ruleset-7 session and starts a seeded ruleset-8 session carrying its eligible facts; R7 checking steps run extra parts that leave each CCD's shallowest cores idle. `record_only` marks their normal trial and carried outcomes so failures change no offsets, failure points, combinations or full-lap coverage, and neither outcome can answer hunts, skips, reruns or deepening ([#334]). - **BREAKING** Rename `[guard]` to `[checking]` in `config.toml`, its `rotation` list to `lap`, `guard_trial_s`, `guard_idle_s` and `guard_all_core_s` to `checking_trial_s`, `checking_idle_s` and `checking_all_core_s`, and `candidate_edges` to `candidate_solo_limits`, and use `togi run --laps` instead of `--rotations`; the old names are refused ([#358]). - **BREAKING** The next run archives the current session and starts a new one carrying its candidate solo limits, failure points and facts, because the journal moves to schema 3 with renamed kinds, fields and values; archived journals of schemas 1 and 2 are still read ([#358]).
