I'm a Seattle-based software engineer with 10+ years across frontend, backend, and full-stack development. I help teams turn software that works into software they can responsibly scale — taking things that have proven their value and making them deployable, observable, and maintainable without stopping delivery.
I like building things that work well, make sense, and make life easier for the people who use them.
Recent work:
- CWMoto Racing Team — a full-stack storefront and team site for a PNW road racing team and performance shop, live at cwmoto.com. Astro + TypeScript, Shopify Storefront API, tRPC for end-to-end type safety, Redis-backed sessions, Playwright and Vitest, containerized deploy. Sole engineer, start to finish.
- Error Ferret — an AI code review platform built as event-driven microservices: NATS JetStream queuing, KEDA-autoscaled workers, a Fastify/Zod API, and a hybrid Astro/React frontend in a pnpm monorepo.
- HyperTagBrowser — a native macOS file browser in SwiftUI and AppKit with a multi-domain tagging system, GRDB-backed indexing, and deep QuickLook and Spotlight integration.

Before that: Amazon and REI, where I worked on retail systems serving 100M+ requests a day across all marketplaces and spent a lot of time on the unglamorous parts — test coverage, release safety, developer tooling, and the operational work that keeps things running after launch.
Open to full-time engineering roles and direct-client contract work.
