fix(bugs): Fix all the bugs filed by dajiaohuang This project doesn't accept AI generated code. I've never gotten a swarm of bug reports like this before. The issues are real and the fixes are good, I just don't understand why my little project was chosen. The author comes out of nowhere and offers no insight into their use of the code. I do appreciate the issues and fixes, but the original author's GitHub looks suspiciously like a user using AI to amp up GitHub metrics to make themselves seem more interesting as a hire. I would rather receive patches from people who love Perl as much as I do. This closes #40, #42, and #42 opened by @dajiaohuang.
