A modern Python GUI application to remove owner restrictions (printing, copying, etc.) from PDF files.
Note: The PDF files must be openable without a password. This tool removes permissions, not the open password.

- Clone the repository:
git clone <repository-url> cd <repository-folder>
- Install dependencies:
pip install customtkinter pikepdf tkinterdnd2 pyinstaller
Run the application script:
python main.py- Click Select PDF File or Drag & Drop a PDF file onto the window.
- If the file is valid, click Remove Security.
- A new file ending in
_unlocked.pdfwill be created in the same directory.
To package the application into a single standalone .exe file:
python -m PyInstaller --noconfirm --onefile --windowed --name "PDFUnlocker" --collect-all customtkinter --collect-all tkinterdnd2 main.pyThe output executable will be located in the dist/ folder.
