Metric Bridge

ToS scoping constraint (read first): Metric Bridge only ever displays metrics from services you are personally authenticated into and entitled to view via your own API key. It never scrapes, proxies, or resells provider data. There is no Metric Bridge server — calls go directly from your browser to each provider's official API. Before connecting, review the current ToS of Moz, Ahrefs, and Semrush.

Side-by-side view of your own Moz / Ahrefs / Semrush metrics for the current page, with plain-English methodology notes and a divergence callout.

Setup (enter your own keys)

  1. chrome://extensions → enable Developer mode → Load unpacked → select this folder.
  2. Open extension Settings (options page) and paste only keys from accounts you own:
    • Moz: Links API credential as ACCESS_ID:SECRET (Moz Pro API access required).
    • Ahrefs: API token (plan with API access required).
    • Semrush: API key (plan with API units required).
  3. Each provider is opt-in. Unconnected providers show "Not connected — add key in Settings" (never blank/zero).
  4. Click the toolbar icon on any http(s) page to compare. Refresh bypasses the 1-hour cache.

Privacy

  • Fully client-side (MV3, no backend). Network calls go only to:
  • Keys live in chrome.storage.local on your device, are attached only to the matching provider's official endpoint, and are never logged, never telemetered, never sent anywhere else.
  • History (metricHistory) is local-only and records only pages you manually check.
  • 401/403 → "key invalid or expired — check Settings". Unexpected response shapes → "provider may have updated their API" instead of crashing.

Install (dev)

  1. chrome://extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked → this folder.
  2. Open Settings, add keys, then use the popup.

Files

  • manifest.json (MV3, activeTab + storage only; host permissions = 3 provider APIs)
  • options.html / options.js, popup.html / popup.js / popup.css, history.js
  • providers/moz.js, providers/ahrefs.js, providers/semrush.js, providers/common.js
