Harp 0.1.8
- Codex shows when it waits on you: a Codex session waiting for an approval or an answer now shows "needs you" in its row instead of a finished turn. Codex has no plugin Harp can load, but it marks the wait in its own terminal title, and Harp reads that. Nothing to set up.
- Cleaner Codex rows: the waiting row keeps the task's name, without Codex's "Action Required" prefix.
Coming from 0.1.2 or later, Harp updates itself. From 0.1.0 or 0.1.1, download this one by hand once.
Harp 0.1.7
- Agent status out of the box: Claude Code's rings now work on a fresh install, with nothing to set up. Harp ships its own Claude Code plugin (based on Warp's) and loads it for each Claude Code you start in Harp. Nothing is installed into
~/.claude, and Claude Code in other terminals is untouched. Before, the status needed Warp's plugin, which Harp never installed, so you only saw Claude's own spinner glyph in the tab. - Background work and questions: a row keeps its background dot while a shell or subagent still runs after the turn, and shows "needs you" when Claude asks you a question.
- Codex and older Claude Code: without a plugin, the row still shows working and done, read from the spinner the agent puts in its terminal title.
- Fresh sessions: a just-started agent shows an empty ring and "Ready" instead of a finished turn's tick, and the agent's title glyph no longer shows in the row.
- If you also have Warp's own Claude Code plugin installed, Harp uses its own plugin's reports and ignores the copies.
Coming from 0.1.2 or later, Harp updates itself. From 0.1.0 or 0.1.1, download this one by hand once. Claude Code sessions that were already running pick up the new status once you start them again in Harp.
Harp 0.1.6
- Rename shows in its row: a tab you rename in the sidebar now shows that name. An old pane name, which the previous Panes view could save by accident, no longer wins over it.
- Notifications for Claude Code: when a Claude Code session waits on you, Harp can post a notification that opens the chat, also without tmux. Off by default; turn on notifications in Settings. Answering right from the notification comes in a later version.
Coming from 0.1.2 or later, Harp updates itself. From 0.1.0 or 0.1.1, download this one by hand once.
Harp 0.1.5
- Pin sessions to the top of the sidebar from a row's menu. A tmux session keeps its pin on the session; any other tab uses the tab's own pin, which Harp restores on the next start.
- Footer keeps the sidebar's width: the limit rings show their names only when there is room, and the footer never makes the sidebar wider.
- Row ages: every row shows how long ago its session last did something.
- Permission dialogs: a background agent's dialog is answered only by the same tool on the same target.
Coming from 0.1.2 or later, Harp updates itself. From 0.1.0 or 0.1.1, download this one by hand once.
Harp 0.1.4
The sidebar now starts the way Harp is designed.
- Tabs view by default: one row per tab. The old default (Warp's "Panes") put a square grey box around the active tab and turned a tab rename into a heading above the row, with no switch in the sidebar to leave it.
- Warp's AI is off by default: Harp opens without Warp's login, so Warp's AI could not work and its controls were only noise.
Coming from 0.1.2 or later, Harp updates itself. From 0.1.0 or 0.1.1, download this one by hand once.
Harp 0.1.3
The limit rings now work right after you install Harp, no extra tool needed.
- Limit rings out of the box: Codex's 5 hour and weekly limits come from its own session logs. Claude's come from Claude Code's status line: if you have none, Harp sets one up once in
~/.claude/settings.jsonthat hands Harp the numbers and shows nothing; a status line you already have is left alone (see the README for keeping yours). Nothing is fetched and no credential is read. The rings fill in after each agent's next answer. - "Needs you" stays: a permission dialog of a background agent no longer flips back to "working" when another agent finishes a tool.
- Limit card: rises in with its numbers counting up, and is opaque.
Coming from 0.1.2, Harp updates itself. From 0.1.0 or 0.1.1, download this one by hand once.
Harp 0.1.2
Harp now updates itself. It checks this repo's releases, downloads new versions in the background and installs them when you quit or relaunch. Coming from 0.1.0 or 0.1.1, download this one by hand once; after that updates come on their own.
- Dark mode: the empty status ring of an agent without a status is visible again.
- Signed and notarized DMG for Apple Silicon Macs.
Harp 0.1.1
Harp now opens straight into the terminal with the sidebar on first launch. 0.1.0 showed Warp's onboarding and account screens first.
- Signed and notarized DMG for Apple Silicon Macs.
- Open it and drag Harp into Applications.
Harp 0.1.0
First release of Harp.
- Signed and notarized DMG for Apple Silicon Macs.
- Open it and drag Harp into Applications.
Harp keeps its own settings in ~/.harp, so it runs next to Warp.
