Summary

  • fetch-testdata.sh fetched each of its 153 files once, so the first 503 of raw.githubusercontent.com stopped the job, as it did twice in a row in the CI of Give the DatasheetFontName of a report of the Access 2000 format as text, as of a form #111. curl now tries again, with --retry 5 and --retry-all-errors: some curl builds give a 503 over HTTP/2 the exit code of a receive failure, 56, which --retry alone does not try again
  • Add a composite action, .github/actions/fetch-testdata, that restores the test data from the cache and then runs fetch-testdata.sh, and use it in the eight jobs of ci.yml and release.yml that fetched the files on every run. The key is the hash of the script, and the script checks every restored file against its SHA-256 and fetches what is missing or changed

- fetch-testdata.sh fetches 153 files once each, and stopped at the first 503 of raw.githubusercontent.com, as it did twice in a row in the CI of #111
- Give curl --retry 5 with --retry-all-errors, so that any failure is tried again after a growing wait: some curl builds give a 503 over HTTP/2 the exit code of a receive failure, 56, which --retry alone does not try again

- The eight jobs that fetch test data fetched 153 files from raw.githubusercontent.com on every run
- Add a composite action, .github/actions/fetch-testdata, that restores them from the cache and runs fetch-testdata.sh, and use it in the eight places of ci.yml and release.yml; the key is the hash of the script, and the script checks every restored file against its SHA-256
