…n os field - npm ci fails on ubuntu-latest with EBADPLATFORM because mcp/package.json declares "os": ["darwin"], which is the correct hint to npm consumers but blocks install on Linux runners - Switching the release job to macos-latest aligns with the OS the package targets, restoring npm ci / build / publish / mcpb pack - ci.yml is unchanged: mcp and applescript jobs already run on macos-latest, static-checks stays on ubuntu-latest (no npm ci there) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

Change
.github/workflows/release.ymlrunner fromubuntu-latesttomacos-latestso thatnpm cidoes not fail withEBADPLATFORM.mcp/package.jsondeclares"os": ["darwin"]. That is the correct hint to npm consumers (familiar-mcpis macOS only) but it also causesnpm cito refuse to install on Linux runners withEBADPLATFORM. The first run ofrelease.ymlforv0.1.1failed at theInstall dependenciesstep for this reason (failed run).Alternatives considered and rejected:
npm ci --forceto skip the OS check — hides real install-time issues."os"field frompackage.json— loses the npm-side warning shown to non-darwin consumers.ci.ymlis unchanged: itsmcpandapplescriptjobs already run onmacos-latest, and thestatic-checksjob stays onubuntu-latest(nonpm ci). After merge, the
v0.1.1tag (already deleted from origin) will be re-created on the merge commit to trigger the workflow again.
