A Solana platform for owning, sharing, and verifying professional credentials on-chain.
SolCred is a decentralized professional credential platform built on Solana. It lets users create a wallet-based professional profile, attach verifiable credentials, and share a public profile that anyone can inspect without connecting a wallet.
Professional reputation is still fragmented across resumes, screenshots, PDFs, private databases, and centralized platforms. That makes credentials hard to verify, easy to misrepresent, and difficult for users to truly own.
SolCred gives professionals a portable identity layer for their career achievements. A user connects a Solana wallet, creates an on-chain profile, and adds credentials such as certifications, courses, achievements, or professional milestones. Each credential is stored as a Solana account linked to the user's profile, making the data transparent, tamper-resistant, and publicly verifiable.
The result is a lightweight credential graph that can be shared with recruiters, employers, communities, and collaborators without requiring them to sign in or connect a wallet.
- Wallet-based identity: users connect Phantom and use their Solana wallet as their professional identity.
- On-chain profiles: each user can create one professional profile account on Solana.
- Verifiable credentials: credentials are created as on-chain accounts linked to the profile owner.
- Public profile pages: anyone can view a user's profile and credentials from a wallet address.
- Credential verification: credentials can be checked through a public verification route.
- Read-only access: public profile and verification pages do not require a connected wallet.
- Local cache fallback: successful writes are cached locally so the UI remains responsive if Devnet reads are temporarily unavailable.
- Open the app and connect Phantom.
- Switch Phantom to Solana Devnet.
- Fund the wallet with Devnet SOL from a faucet.
- Create a professional profile.
- Add a credential to the profile.
- Open the public profile page.
- Share or verify credentials without requiring another user to connect a wallet.
SolCred currently targets Solana Devnet.

This repository is a monorepo with two independent parts:
| Area | Description |
|---|---|
| Root app | React + TypeScript + Vite frontend |

Anchor Solana program written in Rust |
The frontend uses an SDK layer to wrap Anchor program calls. Wallet-connected pages use the connected provider for writes and reads, while public pages use read-only access so profiles and credentials can be viewed without a wallet.
On-chain writes are attempted first. After successful profile or credential creation, data is cached locally as a UX fallback for faster loading and resilience during Devnet instability.

~/.config/solana/id.json
The app sends real Solana Devnet transactions. Devnet SOL is free test SOL, but it is still required to pay transaction fees and rent for newly created accounts.
If a transaction fails with a message like Attempt to debit an account but found no record of a prior credit, the connected Devnet wallet likely has no Devnet SOL. Fund it using a Solana Devnet faucet, then retry the transaction.
If a transaction fails with Blockhash not found, refresh the page, reconnect Phantom, confirm Phantom is on Solana Devnet, and approve the transaction promptly. Devnet RPC nodes can occasionally be slow or temporarily out of sync.
SolCred turns professional credentials into portable, wallet-owned reputation. Instead of relying on centralized platforms or unverifiable resume claims, users can publish their career identity on Solana and share credentials that are open, inspectable, and tied to their wallet.
For judges, the key idea is simple: professional trust should be user-owned, publicly verifiable, and portable across communities, employers, and platforms.
