Before: the gst-launch pipeline strings (mic audio, H.264 and VP8 video to MJPEG, host speaker capture) were only checked as strings and against a fake gst-launch, so a misspelt element or property would first fail on a Pi.

After: a new gstreamer CI job installs GStreamer and runs each exact pipeline, swapping only the hardware element (alsasink, uvcsink, alsasrc) for a file sink or test source. It checks that decoded PCM, JPEG frames and Opus RTP actually come out.

How: internal/media/gst_real_test.go (skips unless GADGETCAST_GST=1, which only that job sets). Locally with GStreamer 1.24: all four pass in about 14 s, and they all fail when jpegenc quality, opusdec and rtpopuspay are misspelt in gst.go. This is still not a hardware test: the UAC2/UVC devices themselves are not exercised.

A gstreamer CI job installs GStreamer and runs the exact audio, video
(H.264 and VP8) and speaker pipelines with only the hardware element
swapped for a file or test source. Typos in element or property names
now fail CI (checked by breaking three of them) instead of on a Pi.
