A lightweight, modern, open-source GUI database client for macOS.
A database connection is a host:port — a harbor ("minato" in Japanese) that welcomes ships.
Minato aims to be an everyday query tool that does not lean on any single database engine.
Status: Connects to MySQL 8.x / 5.x, PostgreSQL, and SQLite; runs queries and edits rows. Development happens in a private repository, and each release is pushed here as a snapshot. Commits therefore map to releases; see CHANGELOG.md for what changed. See CONTRIBUTING.md for how to file issues and pull requests (pull requests are not merged here; they are applied to the development repository).

Builds are signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so the app opens with a double-click. The same DMG is attached to each GitHub Release.
- Open source — the implementation is there to read and fix
- Fast to launch, light to run — everyday query execution is the main use case
- Multiple engines — MySQL (8.x / 5.x), PostgreSQL, and SQLite
- Modern feel — command palette, keyboard-first operation, multiple tabs
