Resolution: the suite moved to tests/ and gained os-string, the arch mmu.o line is still gone while master's x64 memcmp rule stays, and the overview points at tests/.
Carried over from the TUM-DSE fork, with lockfree/ring.hh: admin and I/O queue pairs, MSI-X completions, and I/O queues that are either polled or interrupt-driven. It allocates through mem::, with no block layer and no filesystem behind it.
The admin queue sends a payload as a single PRP entry, which covers one page from its own offset, so a buffer from plain new is filled only up to the page boundary. The second controller read CQES, at byte 513, as zero and asserted; the first survived on a smaller offset.

Note
This builds on top of the mem/subsystem (#47 ) PR. It allocates memory with the new functions. Should only be merged after the memory branch
I just went with the NVMe driver in our fork. It creates queues in interrupt mode by default. They can be switched afterwards to poll mode (they still keep MSI-X interrupts set up).
