Release BlaBla 0.12.0: one task lifecycle, pooled campaigns, faster v… …erification BlaBla 0.12 was built while dogfooding it on a real project: a zero-player civilization game, a procedural world whose towns, trade and research grow on their own while people watch, built through BlaBla's task workflow. Its frictions shaped this release, and the 0.12 work itself ran through BlaBla's own tasks, challenges and finish. - Task lifecycle is one transition table; the task CLI is split by command under src/cli/task; one hand-back path serves the CLI and the bridges; hand-back claims goal outcomes and affected intents; scope can be released; one check form; review evidence stays epoch-bound; task records refuse unknown fields; residual findings resolve on closed tasks. - Behavior verification pools cases across campaigns by the obligations each owns and runs campaigns in parallel (jobs, default 2), reporting elapsed time per campaign; finish spends under a minute on behavior verification. - Process attach reads one process snapshot instead of a system-wide one; identical cached CLI images share one file; evidence capture polls adaptively. - Structure gains a lines fact with directory modules; task CLI files stay under their size rule. - The task-machine contract and bridge drive the real CLI: close can break the project after hand-back, and the bridge reuses an observation while no fixture file changed. - Status prints the standing challenge; invocation errors carry the suggested argument; attribution and challenge vocabularies are enums. - Tests assert data instead of wording; integration tests live in one target with their support under tests/it; redundant tests are cut and the suite runs in parallel through nextest on Linux and Windows. - Removed the unshipped process surface (goal delivery, development effort, read-only results, ready receipts), REPORT.md and one-off experiment scripts; the game example lives in its own repository. - Docs, the skill and the guides describe 0.12; version 0.12.0 in Cargo, the plugin, CITATION and the issue templates; CHANGELOG and release notes for 0.12.0.
BlaBla v0.8.0 — first release without the alpha label A task is handed back only with current evidence and a clear challenge, and the orchestrator resolves findings, attributes changes and withdraws deliverables; project.bla can leave paths out of change tracking; agent-facing text lives in src/cli/text; an agent evaluation suite runs small local models with and without BlaBla. From 0.8.0, breaking changes wait for a minor release and are listed in the changelog. Requires Rust 1.90 or newer.
BlaBla v0.7.0-alpha — more languages, reusable adapters and evidence-… …backed tasks Structure contracts inspect Python, Rust, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Java, C and C++, reporting scoped uncertainty instead of treating an unreadable reference as absent; reusable JSON Lines adapters let six language examples satisfy one behavior contract; the task lifecycle ties acceptance to declared checks, evidence, attribution and grounded challenges; prepare and startup_ms separate build and startup from response time. Requires Rust 1.90 or newer. Experimental alpha; language and APIs may still change.
BlaBla v0.6.0-alpha — self-hosted project memory and the development … …loop Mission, System, Process and Knowledge memory queryable through status and explain; Process flows, bounded task state, persistent findings and deterministic evidence-backed challenges; Rust structure inspection, key/payload association facts and structure-rule falsification. Experimental alpha; language and APIs may still change.
BlaBla v0.5.0-alpha — first public alpha Executable project memory for coding agents: behavioral and structural contracts, coverage-guided verification with minimized counterexamples, and an explicit completion gate. Experimental alpha; language and APIs may still change.
