Jose Nuñez Garcia

SDET | Automation Engineer | Systems Builder

I design and build testing frameworks and internal systems from scratch, focusing on scalability, reliability, and testability. My work combines automation, backend understanding, and product thinking to ensure systems are not only functional, but verifiable and maintainable at scale.

What I Do

  • Build automation frameworks (UI, API, integration) from scratch
  • Design test architectures for scalable systems
  • Validate microservices and data flows across services
  • Improve testability by working directly with development teams
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to system design with a focus on long-term quality

Core Stack

Automation

  • Playwright (UI & API testing)
  • TypeScript, C#

Backend & Data

  • SQL, PostgreSQL
  • API validation and data flow testing

Infrastructure

  • Docker
  • CI/CD (GitHub Actions)

Featured Work

SDET Playwright Microservices Framework

A production-oriented automation framework designed to validate real system behavior across UI, APIs, and database layers.

  • Layered architecture (UI, API, integration)
  • Reusable API clients and test utilities
  • Database validation using PostgreSQL
  • Environment-based configuration
  • CI/CD integration with GitHub Actions
  • Focus on microservices flow validation (request chaining, persistence, downstream effects)

Impact

  • Designed and implemented automation frameworks from scratch to improve system validation
  • Improved testability by aligning testing strategy with system architecture
  • Reduced debugging time by introducing API and database-level validation
  • Built CI/CD-integrated testing pipelines for continuous validation

Approach

I don’t focus on writing isolated tests.

I focus on building systems that:

  • scale with the product without becoming brittle
  • provide real confidence in releases
  • integrate quality into the development process, not after it

Background

I have experience building systems across backend, automation, and DevOps environments. This allows me to approach quality engineering from a system-level perspective, bridging the gap between product requirements and technical validation.
