This COVESA project develops a vehicle emergeny dataset. The data model used to represent it is the HIM Data profile. This datamodel uses the vspec syntax to define the CVED tree found in the spec folder.
The vspec format can be exported to other formats using the COVESA VSS-tools exporter. However, the VSS-tools exporter only supports the HIM VehicleData profile therefore a modified version must be used that also supports other HIM profiles. This extended VSS-tools exporter is found here. The exporter CLI is as is described in the documentation extended with a --profile parameter, else it is identical with the upstream exporter CLI.
- Install venv in a folder that is included in the PATH env variable (this is done once):
- $ python -m venv .venv
- Activate venv:
- $ source .venv/bin/activate
- if venv has been configured for the standard vss-tools exporter:
- (.venv)$ pip uninstall vss-tools -y
- Configure venv for the extended vss-tools exporter:
- (.venv)$ pip install git+https://github.com/ulfbj/vss-tools.git@him-support
- Export the CVED tree to YAML:
- Go to the CVED/spec folder
- (.venv)$ vspec --profile data export yaml -s CVED_Specification.vspec -o CVED_Specification.yaml
- Terminate venv:
- (.venv)$ deactivate
The CVED YAML tree is now available in the CVED_Specification.yaml file.
Next time the exporter will be used it is sufficient with the "source .venv/bin/activate" and "deactivate" commands.
CVED is an open standard and we invite anybody to contribute. Currently CVED contains - among others - significant contributions from
