v0.8.0 - Removed `vop agent` and the per-profile agent_policy field. The agent-facing instructions it printed now live in the binary; an existing agent_policy key in profiles.json is ignored and dropped on the next save of that profile. - New `vop skill`: prints the agent instructions for this version, with the profile resolved in the current directory interpolated in. - New `vop skill install`: writes a version-independent stub to ~/.claude/skills/vop/SKILL.md (--project, --dir, --force), so upgrading vop never leaves a stale skill behind. `vop check` reports its state.
v0.7.0 - vop diagnostics (>>> lines) now go to stderr, leaving the child process's stdout clean for pipes and JSON parsers. - New `vop profile`: prints the profile resolved in the current directory (name on stdout, origin on stderr) so it can be carried to other directories.
v0.5.0 Fix vop test panicking on non-1Password profiles. Locked credential stores (gpg-agent, 1Password not signed in, pinentry with no terminal) are now reported distinctly from auth failures: the error carries the store's own diagnostic and the command to unlock it, the failure no longer escalates the upstream rate-limit backoff, and exit codes 11 (cooldown) and 12 (locked) let automated callers stop retrying instead of hammering the source. New: a .vop file naming a profile sets the default for a directory tree, searched up to the repository root. Explicit arguments and the session environment still take precedence over it.
Cache credentials on disk so vop exec/shell skip 1Password on reuse Add creds.LoadCached which reads the on-disk JSON credential file and returns nil if credentials are expired (within 60s of expiry) or absent. Both exec and shell now check the cache before calling creds.Fetch, so repeated invocations for the same profile only hit 1Password on first auth or after expiry. Remove CleanupFiles and the SIGHUP/SIGTERM signal handlers from exec and shell. Credentials now persist in XDG_RUNTIME_DIR until they expire, making them available across multiple vop exec calls, concurrent SSH sessions, and after the originating session disconnects.
Pre-substitute env vars in nfpm config via envsubst
The .deb build job was failing on the v0.3.11 release with:
glob failed: ./dist/vop-linux-${ARCH}: no matching files
nfpm only substitutes env vars in select top-level fields (name, version,
arch); `contents.src` is not one of them, so `${ARCH}` reached nfpm's
glob expander unchanged. Run envsubst over the YAML before invoking
nfpm so all references resolve.
