Significant Coastal Impacts from Nor'Easter; Hurricane Nolo Bring Gusty Winds and Heavy Rain to Hawaii

A nor'easter will continue to bring significant coastal impacts to the Mid-Atlantic and New England into Monday. Moderate to major coastal flooding, heavy rain, strong winds, and high surf are expected. Hurricane Nolo will remain south of the Big Island of Hawaii with gusty winds and heavy rainfall that may bring significant, life-threatening flooding and mudslides through the weekend. Read More >

Tropical Moisture to Bring Rain Next Week
Moderate Flooding Potential Tuesday-Tuesday Night
Flooding Potential Continues Wednesday
As Hurricane Polo continues its journey, the future remnants of the storm look to bring rain to the area. An influx of tropical moisture will create the opportunity for multiple days of rain. While this graphic shows high rain chances over a large period of time, constant rain is not expected. It is more likely that this activity will be multiple rounds, as opposed to persistent rain. Flooding will be a concern over this timeframe, especially because the ground has previously been soaked from prior rain.

As tropical moisture continues to stream into the region, several rounds of rain, some heavy at times, could bring at least a 40% chance for excessive rainfall and flash flooding to a large portion of the combined Panhandle. The heaviest rainfall rates will most likely occur Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning.
