SHA2017

SHA2017 is almost here! And to run the event, everybody is more than welcome to help run the event in an angel shift. You get a nice feeling, satisfaction, smiles and a good meal in return. :) Almost no shifts need prior knowledge. So you can hop over to the volunteer desk in the infotent, sign up and start your shift. Most shifts include some short introduction before your shift, and you are off to go! 

This summer the chaosvermittlung team is joining forces with POC to provide the best (field phone) service yet on an event...

Every hacker we have ever come across has over 9000 half finished projects, gadgets that seemed cool but were really a fail, odd bits and bobs that might be useful one day, and piles and piles of random and useless^H^H^H^H useful stuff.

Let's be honest, you will never really use most of it, while there are many hackers outside that would love to get a chance to play with that old and dusty SpectraVision Orogonometric Globulazer™, revision B.

Just as your network equipment during SHA2017 your own body ventures into a new and unknown land. With people from all over the world meeting, we have a wonderful exchange of ideas, and of other things you might not think of. Just as in daily life, it’s worth to pay attention to hygiene and protection. For your devices, and for yourself! 

Currently there are still some tickets left in the ticketshop, however since SHA2017 starts in 12 days, please be aware of the following.

• 24/7 is the last day to order a Kartent and tables / chairs. They have to be available for you at the event and the order must be finished.
• 26/7 will be the last day a ticket can be paid by a bank transfer since we can't guarantee that the payment will arrive in time. Afterwards you can only pay with Creditcard, iDeal or cash at the venue itself.

A camp needs good food and drinks. For SHA2017, this will take the shape of three bars and a food court! There are a lot of choices, so today we will go a bit more in detail in the "horeca" of SHA2017.

First of all, the bars. There will be three places where you can get yourself a fresh ClubMate, a soft drink, a hot beverage like tea or coffee or an alcoholic drink like beer or wine.

A lot has happened since the last time we've told you about the official SHA2017 badge. We have some awesome news to share with you today! 

SHA2017 would not be possible without the great work of volunteers a.k.a. Angels. Joining this awesome group of people is the perfect opportunity to become a part of SHA2017 and make it even more amazing for everyone involved. Volunteering is also a great chance to meet new people and to get familiar with this phenomenon called a hacker camp. 

The POC (also known as µPOC) is proud to announce that SHA2017 will have a DECT network throughout the site.

We have been quite busy lately planning topologies and phone numbering plans, sourcing equipment and finalizing the whole setup.

We posted this week that we had to temporarily close the shop since the ticket sales went much faster than everyone expected.

We have discussed how many tickets we are able to add. We have decided to make 500 more tickets available through the ticketshop. We have already sent out 150 vouchers to people on the waiting list and keep in mind that the previous 650 tickets were sold in 14 days!
