Jérémy Gruffat’s Post

I’ll be at the GTR Commodities - Commodity trade and finance conference in Geneva this week. Commodity trade is one of the last truly physical industries where oil, metals, grain and all physical resources are moving across oceans and borders every day. But the money behind those flows still moves slower than the cargo itself, trapped in complex corridors, or in transit via a long chain of correspondent banks, impacting settlement times, costs, and operational risks. At Hercle, we built the global payment rails to match that pace, combining regulated banking infrastructure with blockchain settlement to move G10 and EM currency liquidity near-instantly, wherever the trade is happening. I’m looking forward to meeting treasurers, CFOs and financial institutions in Geneva to discuss liquidity, FX and settlement, and how financial infrastructure can better support the realities of commodity trade. If you are at GTR, let's meet!

The gap between cargo speed and settlement speed is one of the more tangible frictions in commodity trade. Good to see it on the GTR agenda.

Would be delighted to meet you tomorrow
