Among patients with localized intermediate-risk #ProstateCancer, stereotactic body #Radiotherapy was not superior to moderately hypofractionated intensity-modulated radiation therapy for disease-free survival at 3 years. Urinary irritative or obstructive quality of life at 2 years was also similar between groups. Stereotactic body radiotherapy was associated with fewer clinically important declines in bowel quality of life, along with lower rates of some genitourinary adverse events. Internal bleeding of the heart muscle after a severe heart attack can lead to death in more than 40% of patients. The next landmark trial in the field of interventional treatment of pulmonary embolism is coming from Czechia! Catheter-directed thrombolysis (without ultrasound) vs. anticoagulation alone in intermediate-high-risk PE with some additional "red flags" in a prospective, multicenter, open-label trial. Mortality/morbidity combined endpoint driven by clinical deterioration, without differences in mortality, but 4 deaths(1.4%) in the AC group vs. 1 in the CDT group (0.36%, p=NS). Two intracranial bleedings in CDT group vs. none in AC (p=NS), but without increase of major bleeding in the CDT cohort. No evidence for a more extensive reduction in the RV/LV ratio after 48 h in the CDT group. Big kudos and congratulations to Josef Kroupa and the whole group!
