Martin Pearson, CPA liked thisMartin Pearson, CPA liked thisTuesday of last week was my last day at Salesforce and Wednesday was my first day of “𝑓𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡”. You can see the pics of both days. I’m smiling in that photo, not because it was my last day, but because I smiled every day at Salesforce, and especially on days in the ATL Tower, such an amazing place. The other shot is from the first day of “funtirement” while Mary and I were on a 20+ mile ride and had stopped halfway through to grab a bite on the greenway. I’m so pleased that the capstone of my years selling high tech software & hardware was at Salesforce. So many great colleagues (many I’m taking with me as friends), customers and partners. The last 7 years working with enterprise nonprofit customers was an amazing journey. I’ve been a donor or volunteer at nonprofits most of my life, but being able to work with so many great brands and understand their passion and challenges from the “inside” was fascinating and a privilege . . . I hope I was able to advance their mission in some small way. “Funtirement” is set to include more time focusing on: Faith, Fitness, Family and Fun. Please reach out to connect on any of these. In this role, I'll be taking my background in internal communications and applying it across multiple areas, including Talent Development, Inclusion & Diversity and Recruiting, and more. To say I'm excited to work with this stellar team (in addition to being a little nervous at being the new kid for the first time in a while) would be an understatement. Apple often says this is where people do the best work of their careers. Given the great fortune I've had so far with my career and the amazing people I've worked with along the way, that's an enticing challenge – one that I'm so grateful to begin. I am deeply grateful to my professors in both programs — your guidance, encouragement, and expertise shaped me in ways I will carry throughout my career. I specifically want to thank Marc Ragin and Jennifer (Jenny) Atkinson for their mentorship and unwavering commitment to every student in the University of Georgia - C. Herman Terry Risk Management and Insurance Program. I am thrilled to share that later this month I will be joining Tokio Marine HCC as an Underwriting Analyst. I am profoundly excited and grateful for this opportunity, and I cannot wait to begin this next chapter in my career. Go Dawgs!

I'm especially thankful for the teams I was able to build and work alongside over the years. I'm proud of all the accomplishments, the trust we built, and how we did it together as a team.
