Alvin ISD, near Houston, Texas, sought to boost #APSeminar enrollment without students sacrificing time for electives. District leaders stacked the course with English 10, helping sophomores meet a graduation requirement and prepare for the state’s end-of-course exam. The results speak for themselves: since 2022, AP Seminar participation increased 186%. In 2024, 85% of Alvin ISD students scored a 3 or higher on the AP Seminar exam, outperforming other Texas students.
