About us
Via is on a mission to create public transportation systems that provide far greater access to jobs, healthcare, and education. Our platform serves as the technology backbone for modern transit networks, transforming antiquated and siloed public transportation systems into smart, data-driven, and efficient digital networks. With hundreds of agency partners in 30+ countries, Via is recognized as the leading transportation technology and service provider for governments. Via’s platform has pioneered microtransit — a new mode of mass transit — and today offers a comprehensive, end-to-end public transit solution that helps our customers design, operate, and optimize their transit systems using software, services, and billions of proprietary real-world trip data points. The result: lower costs, equitable access, and better passenger experiences.

When you give people access to their own performance data, something interesting happens: their performance improves. A 19-day study across 198 transit drivers showed just that. The lowest performers voluntarily logged in to review their scores, and their average safety scores jumped 12.6 points. No directives or disciplinary pressure, just performance transparency. Read the study in our latest article: https://lnkd.in/dZeWJyP9

More demand doesn't have to mean more cost. York Region Transit serves 1.2 million residents across nine municipalities. When they stopped managing paratransit and microtransit as separate problems, everything improved — capacity, scheduling efficiency, rider experience. If you're thinking about commingling your network intelligently, our latest case study is the perfect read: https://lnkd.in/d3ZqJHqU

Via CEO Daniel Ramot explains how smarter transit can break that cycle. Watch the full interview → https://lnkd.in/eC9wkM8q

Public transit isn't just about getting from A to B. It's about whether someone can get to work. Whether a student can get to school. Whether a city earns — or loses — the trust of its residents. Via CEO Daniel Ramot sat down with NYSE's Inside the Ice House to talk about what's broken with transit, and what we can do to fix it.
