  • In managing 45 portfolio companies with a team of just six, efficiency is paramount. AI tools that summarize pitch decks, reconcile data from PDFs, and deliver instant insights are game-changers. Casey Rihn, Senior Director of Operations at K1 Investment Management, shares these insights in conversation with Siddharth Sridharan - on empowering faster, data-driven decisions across the portfolio. • Modular procurement stacks are becoming the problem. In 2026, that shift becomes impossible to ignore. Spend doesn’t move in stages anymore. Most procurement tech still does. That mismatch is forcing procurement leaders to rethink how intake, orchestration, and execution come together. In the January edition of the Spendflo newsletter, we break down:  1. Why modular procurement architectures are breaking flow  2. How intake won adoption by meeting spend where it already is  3. Why renewals and duplicate spend are the real fault lines  4. How AI is collapsing orchestration and Source-to-Pay into a single operating system If you’re making procurement decisions that will shape how your team operates in 2026, this is worth a read. 📩 Procurement Convergence in 2026: From Intake Tools to End-to-End Orchestration. • The most useful GPT prompts are rarely fancy. On the latest episode, we ended with a rapid-fire that says a lot about how strong ops leaders actually work. Giang H (Director & Head of Business Operations at Zapier) shared the GPT prompt she genuinely uses: “Push back on this strategy memo. What assumptions might be wrong or risky?” Simple. Direct. And exactly the kind of thinking ops teams are responsible for. We also talked about: • Why weekly business reviews still matter, even in fully remote teams • How cross-functional alignment really happens in practice • The one book she keeps coming back to whenever change is involved (The First 90 Days) It’s a good reminder that scaling profitably isn’t about more tools. It’s about better judgment, tighter rituals, and knowing where to apply pressure. Full episode is live.

  • Some people build products. Some people build communities. Srimathi does both. 👋 Meet Srimathi Sundarrajan, one of Spendflo’s earliest engineering hires - and someone whose work and energy uplift more people than she realises. Srimathi Sundarrajan's from Salem. She married at 18, became a mother at 19, and finished her engineering degree with a four-month-old at home. She joined Spendflo as one of our earliest engineers long before we had a full product team, before processes were this polished and when every line of code mattered. She built features that became the foundation of what Spendflo is today. Now, she leads our vendor onboarding segment, and the platform continues to evolve under her hands. But here's what makes her extraordinary beyond the code: Back in her hometown, she runs an after-school academy for children with 3 branches, employing 25+ women as teachers. Many of them are mothers who left MNC careers because they couldn't relocate or juggle childcare and corporate demands. Srimathi gave them an option back home. Her belief is simple but powerful: when women are given flexibility, dignity, and support, they don't just rise, their entire community rises with them. That belief doesn't stay confined to her academy. You can see it in the way she collaborates, how she mentors and how she pushes herself and the people around her to build something better. Srimathi shapes our culture and we're incredibly lucky to have her with us ✨

I love being a part of the AI in Finance conversation is because I truly believe when it comes to AI, education is power. AI has the potential to transform the way Finance teams operate, and for some companies the transformation has already begun. 💫 I'm excited to join fellow finance leaders, Siddharth Sridharan, Spendflo CEO and Alex Yaseen, Parabola CEO, for a packed conversation about how modern finance teams are using AI and what to expect in 2026. We’ll go beyond the hype and talk about how automation and AI can remove manual effort, reduce complexity, and streamline core operations. During this session you will: 🔹 See real demos of practical AI application in finance workflows 🔹 Learn about real use cases for AI adoption 🔹 Be a part of a candid discussion of what’s actually possible for the near future of AI (and what’s noise.) • What happens when finance, GTM, and AI meet in one room? A completely new operating model. Last week, our Director of Finance, VARUN D B, hosted an AI in Finance Workshop where we explored how AI-native systems can streamline GTM stacks, reduce costs, and elevate productivity across teams. Here’s what we covered: • Replacing fragmented GTM tools with smarter AI-first workflows • Using ChatGPT Business + Google Workspace + AppScript to automate reporting, enrichment, and reconciliations • AppScript + GPT for: missing-row detection, column matching, audit logs, formatting, and automated data cleanup • Real examples: Celonis analysis, data categorization, Webflow blog automation, salary register → accounting-ready CSVs Core principle: AI is a force multiplier. But only if we ask better questions, clarify assumptions, and stay patient, persistent, and pragmatic. Excited to see how finance and GTM teams leverage this next wave of intelligent automation. #AIinFinance #Spendflo #Automation #FinanceOps #GTM #AIProductivity #ChatGPTBusiness #FutureOfWork

  • The biggest reason renewals go sideways? Tool owners don’t submit the intake early enough for procurement to act. How we’re solving it: We built a renewal agent that takes the work off your end users. No chasing, no reminders, no last-minute surprises. What it does: • Autofills the entire renewal intake instantly • Pulls past contracts, usage, benchmarks, and spend • Forms an opinion on what the renewal should look like • Lets procurement review and finalize in seconds Read more here - https://lnkd.in/g3Kct68c
