Nanonets is hiring for a Senior Legal Manager role in Bangalore. We’re specifically looking for lawyers with 5-8 years of experience who can straddle both commercial contracting and litigation/procedural work. This would not be a typical in-house role; you’ll have to proactively work across global time zones and partner closely with our revenue, product, ops, and GTM teams. P.S. Please apply directly on the link attached below if you think this is a fit. :)

  • 🔥 Our open-source model Nanonets-OCR2 is trending in the Top 10 on Hugging Face, again. But this isn’t just a leaderboard moment. It’s another step in our mission to make the world more LLM-friendly and to free all the stuck data still trapped in PDFs, scans, and unstructured documents. For years, we’ve been obsessed with one question: 👉 How do we make machines truly understand documents like humans do? That’s why we’re committed to: Releasing best-in-class open-source models that raise the bar for document intelligence. Powering enterprise-grade document processing and agentic workflows that help companies unlock and use their data in ways that were impossible before. Open source isn’t a side project for us, it’s the foundation. Because the future of document understanding will be both open and enterprise-ready. Huge thanks to everyone who’s supported the journey so far. We’re just getting started. 🚀 #OpenSource #AI #LLMs #DocumentAI #HuggingFace #Nanonets

After reaching 1M+ downloads on our previous open source model, We're excited to share Nanonets-OCR2, a state-of-the-art suite of models designed for advanced image-to-markdown conversion and Visual Question Answering (VQA). Key Features: LaTeX Equation Recognition: Automatically converts mathematical equations and formulas into properly formatted LaTeX syntax. It distinguishes between inline ($...$) and display ($$...$$) equations. Intelligent Image Description: Describes images within documents using structured <img> tags, making them digestible for LLM processing. It can describe various image types, including logos, charts, graphs and so on, detailing their content, style, and context. Signature Detection & Isolation: Identifies and isolates signatures from other text, outputting them within a <signature> tag. This is crucial for processing legal and business documents. Watermark Extraction: Detects and extracts watermark text from documents, placing it within a <watermark> tag. Smart Checkbox Handling: Converts form checkboxes and radio buttons into standardized Unicode symbols (☐, ☑, ☒) for consistent and reliable processing. Complex Table Extraction: Accurately extracts complex tables from documents and converts them into both markdown and HTML table formats. Flow charts & Organisational charts: Extracts flow charts and organisational as mermaid code. Handwritten Documents: The model is trained on handwritten documents across multiple languages. Multilingual: Model is trained on documents of multiple languages, including English, Chinese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and many more. Visual Question Answering (VQA): The model is designed to provide the answer directly if it is present in the document; otherwise, it responds with "Not mentioned." https://lnkd.in/gZxZ5j2e Other links in the comment:

  • Last week in Atlanta, our team spent an exciting few days at the Data Science Connect Collide Conference. A city that's home to the world's largest brands is no stranger to big ideas. We loved meeting so many people exploring how AI agents are supercharging the back-office.
