ERC-8004, explained. ERC-8004 is an Ethereum standard for agent identity, reputation, and verification. It defines how an agent is represented onchain, and how other agents or smart contracts can reason about it without prior trust. Each agent has an onchain identity (commonly an NFT). That identity points to metadata describing what the agent does, how it can be reached, and how its work should be verified. The heavy data stays offchain; the reference and integrity live onchain. ERC-8004 also standardizes reputation. Agents can accumulate attestations from past work so they don’t start from zero every time they interact. No centralized registry, no app-specific schemas, no gatekeepers. Verification is explicit - contracts or third parties can attest that a task was completed and conditions were met, and those attestations are addressable onchain. What ERC-8004 does not do: execution, payments, or orchestration. It’s a trust primitive, not an application. How it fits with ampersend (ampersend.ai): ERC-8004 answers “who is this agent and can i trust it?”; x402 handles “how does the agent get paid?” - separate layers, yet composable by default. For open agentic ecosystems where agents from different teams can safely interact, shared, open standards like this are essential. Listen to Marco De Rossi explain ERC-8004 ⬇️

Announcing: The House by Edge & Node We are excited to announce that The House of Web3 is officially becoming The House by Edge & Node. Why the change? Edge & Node remains deeply committed to web3 and decentralization. However, as these technologies converge with AI (think x402, agents, and ampersend), our mission is expanding. We are opening our doors to innovators across the entire frontier tech landscape: 👾 AI & Agents 🕸️ Decentralized Tech 🔬 Deep Tech 🧬 Health Tech 🌐 And other emerging technologies The House remains a premier San Francisco space for co-working, hosting events, and connecting with fellow builders. As we head into 2026, we’re opening the doors to a broader set of builders while remaining selective about membership to ensure the community remains safe, focused, and productive. ampersend is live in closed beta! ampersend, a wallet for agents and a dashboard for humans, is Edge & Node’s newest product that is set to make human-agent-digital wallet interaction seamless. Here’s what ampersend enables: - Users can have multiple agents that spend real funds to transact with other agents online; - You get the full control via simple, yet powerful dashboard; - The dashboard allows you to set rules and budgets, automatically top up agents every day, control each agent and their spend, and monitor activity; - See the dashboard views attached: overview of all agents’ activity & one particular agent. - ampersend is built on the latest open protocols and onchain standards, like Coinbase Developer Platform x402 and Google Cloud A2A, with ERC-8004 integration underway; - Users without prior crypto experience are still able to use it, finally bridging the gap. We believe that agentFi will become a big part of everyone’s day-to-day, and it’s critical to build simple ways for anyone to interact with, manage, and control agents. The power of Amp was on full display during a live demo at Devconnect Buenos Aires this week! Amp, the world’s first enterprise blockchain-native database, is now exclusively available to the hackers of ETHGlobal hackathon this weekend. Hackers will get hands-on access to Amp and experience creating, remixing, and running smart contract datasets locally with limited setup, while competing for $6k in bounties from The Graph. Here’s what’s new and special about Amp: Traditional databases were never designed for the complexity of blockchains. They were built decades ago for static, centralized data, not for dynamic, composable, multi-chain environments where real-time accuracy and compliance are critical. Amp changes that. Amp transforms encoded blockchain data into real-time, compliant, and scalable datasets. Amp gives the confidence to integrate blockchain data directly into mission-critical systems without building custom pipelines or compromising on security. Key Amp differentiators: ⚡ Verifiable and audit-ready data lineage ⚡ Unified SQL access across multiple blockchains ⚡ Composable datasets with automatic schema modeling ⚡ Real-time streaming and batch data processing ⚡ Flexible deployment options in cloud or on-prem environments Amp delivers the missing layer between blockchain and enterprise and will power the next generation of tokenized assets, stablecoins, and AI-driven data systems, bringing transparency, speed, and reliability to blockchain infrastructure. A new era of blockchain data begins today. Edge & Node CEO Rodrigo Coelho just revealed Amp - the world’s first enterprise blockchain-native database. Developed by the team that created The Graph, Amp represents a major step forward in how enterprises and developers access and use blockchain data by enabling users to create, remix, and run smart contract datasets locally with limited setup. Traditional databases were never designed for the complexity of blockchains. They were built decades ago for static, centralized data, not for dynamic, composable, multi-chain environments where real-time accuracy and compliance are critical. Amp changes that. Built from the ground up, Amp transforms encoded blockchain data into real-time, compliant, and scalable datasets. Amp gives institutions the confidence to integrate blockchain data directly into mission-critical systems without building custom pipelines or compromising on security. What defines Amp: ⚡ Verifiable and audit-ready data lineage ⚡ Unified SQL access across multiple blockchains ⚡ Composable datasets with automatic schema modeling ⚡ Real-time streaming and batch data processing ⚡ Flexible deployment options in cloud or on-prem environments Amp delivers the missing layer between blockchain and enterprise and will power the next generation of tokenized assets, stablecoins, and AI-driven data systems, bringing transparency, speed, and reliability to blockchain infrastructure. Today, Edge & Node launched ampersend! A new management platform for agent payments and operations, built on Coinbase’s x402 and Google’s A2A frameworks. Autonomous agents will communicate, transact, and collaborate. But until now, there’s been no way to see, control, or account for their financial activity. That’s where ampersend comes in. It’s the control plane for agent-to-agent payments, letting teams spin up wallets, set budgets, automate flows, and visualize activity across their agent networks. Powered by x402, ampersend supports HTTP-native, stablecoin-based transactions-fast, auditable, and programmable. It adds the missing layer of observability and governance that will define the next phase of the agent economy. Edge & Node, the team behind The Graph, built ampersend to help the ecosystem move from concept to coordination, from individual agents to full agent swarms. Today, Edge & Node announcing ampersend! A wallet for agents and a dashboard for humans. Built by Edge & Node, the founding team behind The Graph, ampersend extends Coinbase's x402 and Google's A2A frameworks to bring automation, observability, and control to the emerging agentic economy. Just as crypto went from web to mobile, the next evolution is from mobile-first to agent-native. According to a16z crypto's 2025 report, there are now 41 million monthly mobile wallet users, representing 23% mobile penetration of all crypto users. In traditional finance, mobile banking is already at 70%. So what happens when every person, and company has swarm of agents operating on their behalf? When each of those agents needs its own wallet, budget, and transaction logic? That’s the world ampersend is built for. It’s the missing management layer for agent-to-agent systems, built on open standards with real-time dashboards, spend controls, and analytics for the coming explosion in agent wallets. ⚡ Fast — HTTP-native stablecoin payments 👁️ Observable — Real-time agent dashboards 🛠️ Controllable — Spend limits, budgets, automation 👀 Discoverable — Agent directories and analytics ampersend launches today, October 30, at a live virtual event on X (https://lnkd.in/gzMFu5BR) with Coinbase and Google, and will be fully usable at Devconnect in Buenos Aires. A few years ago I said The Presidio would be the next Sand Hill Road, and I guess that’s turning out to be true. I’ve been in this space for five years and based here, at the House of Web3 for over three. The House has surpassed expectations, and it’s only grown stronger with hundreds of events, thousands of people, all co-creating, building, and sharing ideas that move fast, from people that don't sleep. San Francisco right now feels electric. AI has triggered a shift of epic proportions, a kind of Cambrian growth that even those of us who were here before “AI” was the word can barely keep up with. It’s exciting and a little scary. Feels like what I imagine the gold rush did, all those years ago, right here in California. Funding is flowing into ideas at lightning speed. The Bay Area accounts for most of the global AI capital right now, and the energy is everywhere. And the House sits right in the middle of it, not just in the heart of this movement, but in one of the most beautiful places in the world-The Presidio. Come visit, touch some grass, and feel it for yourself. 🚨Edge & Node is launching a new product built for the future this Thursday🚨 https://luma.com/xetkpsgg Tune in on X with team members and guests from Coinbase, Google, and Ethereum to see what’s coming. Spoiler alert: agents are coming. In celebration, we’re opening the doors of the House of Web3 with complimentary access. Come by and see where the magic happens. https://lnkd.in/gvdrvncE
