Acquire Regulars.

About us

Acquire Regulars. At Claim, we believe restaurants are the fabric of our communities, and they deserve a better way to find regulars. Claim turns restaurant discovery into a real-world habit. Every week, diners open The Drop to find personalized offers to places they’re genuinely excited to try, go in real life with friends, and get cash back automatically after they visit. No coupons. No fine print. Just a simple ritual that turns “I’ve been meaning to try that” into “we’ll have the usual.” Now part of Wonder, Claim is scaling inside Grubhub, bringing our approach to discovery to an unmatched national network. We’re building the best way in the world for people to discover the places they’ll keep coming back to, and for restaurants to turn first visits into regulars. Live in New York City today and dropping soon in a city near you.

Updates

  • We’re thrilled to announce our acquisition by Wonder, where we’ll continue to grow Claim within the Grubhub platform. We believe restaurants are the fabric of our communities, and we’re on a mission to help them grow in a way that serves both restaurants and their guests. To our merchant partners, investors, Claimers, and our incredible team, thank you for being such an integral part of Claim’s path to this moment. See you in The Drop!

Today, I’m excited to share our next chapter: Claim has been acquired by Wonder, and we’ll be scaling with Grubhub. We believe restaurants are the fabric of our communities, and the biggest challenge they face is how to find regulars. But most marketing tools that restaurants use are optimized for attention, not outcomes. Moreover, we’ve lost some of the magic that comes from sharing a great meal together. We’ve always believed that rewards, done right, are the best way to find customers. Over the past four years, we’ve built a platform that delights consumers while delivering industry-leading results for brands like Blank Street, Joe and the Juice, and Just Salad. Now, we get to enable that experience at an unmatched scale. Grubhub’s network includes 415,000 merchants across 4,000 U.S. cities, serving nearly 20 million diners. That density is the difference between a few gems discovered each year and a great experience every week in The Drop. To the merchant partners who trusted us early, the investors who believed in our new model (in particular our leads Chad Byers, Gregory R., Jess Lee, and Sam Shapiro), the Claim team (past and present) that built a world-class product, and the Claimers who came for The Drop each week (shoutout to the Claimer with a 120-week streak): thank you. Finally, thanks to Tap Stephenson for being an unbelievable co-founder. More details to follow in the coming weeks – we can’t wait to see what comes next.

Now Dropping, SOMETHING GREEN. 🌱 We’re excited to welcome SOMETHING GREEN to Claim’s NYC lineup – a Brooklyn-born, Flatiron-based healthy fast-casual concept built to fuel busy New Yorkers with fast, fresh, affordable food. On the menu: wraps, salads, bowls, sandwiches, smoothies, and coffee made with generous portions of clean ingredients at “fast food” prices, so eating more can actually be good for you. Their menu runs from avocado toast to non-GMO whole wheat buffalo chicken wraps, all made without seed oils. With their first flagship location near 23rd Street and big ambitions, SOMETHING GREEN partnered with Claim to: • Drive reliable foot traffic around Union Square / Flatiron • Build a habit with first-time guests instead of one-off trials • Do it all with no staff training and fully attributed, pay-per-conversion economics We’re kicking things off with a focused first-visit campaign, then expanding into second and third visits to help SOMETHING GREEN turn healthy and affordable into habit-forming regulars in their first months on the block. If you’re an emerging fast-casual brand in NYC looking to acquire regulars and measure real-world ROI instead of impressions, Claim your spot in an upcoming Drop.

Sweet treats and sweeter ROI, coming to a Drop near you. We’re thrilled to welcome Spirals Cinnamon Rolls to Claim. Known for their viral, handcrafted rolls and modern twist on a classic indulgence, Spirals came to Claim looking for a performance channel that could do what creator platforms can’t - tie visits and repeats to impressions. The results? Claimers have loved it. Nearly half of all NYC Claimers have already indicated they wanted to try Spirals after seeing it in The Drop, quickly generating a 350% incremental ROAS - fully incrementally - with 1 in 4 already coming back for seconds and thirds within 60 days. That’s the kind of loyalty you can see (and smell) from a mile away. If you’re a fast-casual or treat brand ready to turn impressions into real-world visits, claim your spot in an upcoming NYC Drop.

Bowls, bold flavor, and growth: now Dropping in New York. We’re excited to officially bring Glaze Teriyaki into The Drop. Glaze is making waves by turning Seattle-style teriyaki into a fast-casual staple across Manhattan and Brooklyn with clean, customizable bowls, house-made sauces, and options that cover keto, vegan, gluten-free, and everything in between. Why did they choose Claim? A pay-for-performance growth solution with zero staff training, a fresh guest experience, and a direct path to the next generation of regulars. Two months in and they’re already posting some of the platform’s best numbers. If you’re a restaurant or fast-casual operator who wants to stop guessing with impressions and start measuring real acquisition, reach out to get in the next NYC Drop.

We’re amped to welcome our new ace, Andrew Phillips, as Claim’s newest Software Engineer. Andrew cut his teeth scaling PillPack into Amazon Pharmacy, spending six years deep in the backend trenches where human workflows, third-party partners, and Amazon-scale services had to speak the same language. He found his niche at the seams - those high-stakes integration points where clean data and real-world magic meet. At Claim, Andrew is pouring that superpower into features like Retention Campaigns, making sure our brand partners can keep their next generation of regulars coming back for more, while establishing the rock-solid infrastructure that will carry us through the tidal wave of new users who love it. When Andrew’s not building, you’ll find him cycling New England backroads, playing squash and tennis, whipping up new recipes, or adventuring with his mini Aussie pup and fiancée. Welcome aboard, Andrew - let’s build the future of commerce, one commit at a time!

🤝 Meet Retention Campaigns - the first pay-per-regular engine for restaurants and retailers. Most restaurants and merchants pour budget into social platforms for one-and-done visits. It’s not working. 80% of first-time guests never come back, even though it’s the regulars that drive 70%+ of revenue. We first built Claim to fix the problems at the top of that funnel; now we’re closing the loop. How Claim Campaigns work now: ◾ Set a fixed cost-per-acquisition for visit 1 - new guests ✅ ◾ Drop follow-on rewards to reach guests who don’t come back organically until they reach your “Magic Number” 🪄 ◾ Drive guests to the 3-5 visit threshold - your Magic Number - where guest retention levels off and newbies become regulars ◾ Verify every tap and swap via Plaid, meaning 100% attribution, zero integrations, and no guessing ◾ You only pay when a guest actually shows up - guaranteeing you ROI Early pilots with our friends at Honeygrow, Tiff’s Treats, & Sweetfin are already lifting repeat rates and increasing guest lifetime value, and we’re just getting started. If you’re done spraying-and-praying and you’re ready to acquire regulars on autopilot, DM me for early access. We have a few spots left in our beta program where we’ll co-create features around your business. See you in The Drop.

Your P&L’s biggest leak sits between Visit #1 and Visit #3. Our latest data dives deep into a national fast-casual Mexican chain you probably frequent: For every 1,000 first-time orders... 472 guests return within 90 days 280 reach Visit #3 Those regulars - 28% of your guests - drive 71 % of total revenue As our Head of Marketplace, Luke deWilde, writes, shift just 50 more diners past that third swipe, and you can unlock a six-figure lift per store, with zero new ad spend. He unpacks the math, shares why traditional loyalty misses this “pre-loyalty gap,” and suggests three fixes in today’s Nation’s Restaurant News feature. Link in the first comment. Restaurant chains can create regulars by cracking the ‘pre-loyalty gap’. Seventy percent of first-time diners don’t return, but if you crack this tipping point, they’ll become return customers http://ow.ly/bLck106aj9E
