If you already have blocks pre-sized, for fire pits etc, and need to find out how many it takes to make a complete circle, and the outer diameter of the circle, enter single block dimensions below and hit Calculate. The number of blocks and diameter is calculated from the side angles of each block, and assumes no side joints. Add a few mm to allow for irregularities in block manufacture.
This calculation is an estimate, as the block dimensions may not geometrically fit a complete circle. If you add or subtract blocks to alter the diameter, all that happens is the side joints open or close (inner or outer) to adjust for the change. Smaller diameter = less blocks with wider outer joint gaps. Larger diameter = more blocks with larger inner joint gaps.
