What each costs as usage grows
Starting prices tell you little: JFrog and Sonatype bill per GB on top of a base, so the bill depends on how much you store and download.
JFrog Artifactory
JFrog lists Pro by the month only, so both sides are billed monthly. CloudRepo’s column is the cheapest plan that holds the storage, plus its transfer overage ($120 per whole TB past the allowance, rounded down) when there is one. 1 TB is 1,000 GB.
| Stored and downloaded a month | JFrog Pro, billed monthly: at list (at the offer) | CloudRepo, billed monthly | Difference a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25 GB stored, 50 GB downloaded | $212.50 ($112.50) | Starter: $239/month billed monthly | JFrog costs $26.50 less (at the offer: JFrog costs $126.50 less) |
| 100 GB stored, 500 GB downloaded | $868.75 ($768.75) | Team: $599/month billed monthly | CloudRepo costs $269.75 less (at the offer: CloudRepo costs $169.75 less) |
| 500 GB stored, 2 TB downloaded | $2,755.75 ($2,655.75) past Pro’s sizing | Business: $959/month billed monthly | CloudRepo costs $1,796.75 less (at the offer: CloudRepo costs $1,696.75 less) |
| 2 TB stored, 6 TB downloaded | $6,880.75 ($6,780.75) past Pro’s sizing | Scale: $1,439/month billed monthly | CloudRepo costs $5,441.75 less (at the offer: CloudRepo costs $5,341.75 less) |
JFrog Pro costs less while usage stays light. On each CloudRepo plan, both billed monthly, CloudRepo costs less from a month’s storage plus downloads of: Starter 97 GB, Team 385 GB, Business 673 GB and Scale 1,065 GB at JFrog’s list price (177, 465, 753 and 1,165 GB at its offer). From there the gap grows with usage.
JFrog sizes Pro for “typically up to 50 users and 2 TB consumption” and recommends Enterprise X from 2 TB to 20 TB, listed from $950 a month, with scalable consumption rates on annual contracts. The marked rows are past that sizing and price Pro.

Sonatype Nexus
Sonatype prices Nexus Pro Cloud by the year, so CloudRepo is billed annually; both are shown a month at a time. CloudRepo’s column is the cheapest plan that holds the storage, plus its transfer overage ($120 per whole TB past the allowance, rounded down) when there is one. 1 TB is 1,000 GB.
| Stored and downloaded a month | Nexus Pro Cloud, annual plan, a month | CloudRepo, billed annually | Difference a month |

CloudRepo
PredictableIf you exceed your monthly transfer allowance, we reach out first. Nothing is throttled, no build ever stops, and there are no automatic charges. Occasional spikes are simply fine. Sustained overage is billed at $120 per additional TB, always rounded down in your favor (2.9 TB over = 2 TB billed = $240). Storage growth is a prorated one-click plan upgrade, not per-GB fees.

What our customers say
“We were industrializing our partner-startup's codebase, and they were missing an artifact repository. We needed a private Maven repository, and we didn't want to set it up ourselves on AWS. We felt that CloudRepo was priced nicely with a good feature set. In my experience, managing a private repository takes maintenance (cleaning up snapshots, resizing disks, upgrades...) and I didn't want my team to waste time with that.”
“We use CloudRepo because we needed a closed source Maven Repository that could be easily managed to provide/restrict access to our clients, didn't cost the world to use, and that wouldn't require significant effort to set up/maintain.”
