新昌县金阳食品厂创建于2001年5月，现厂址座落在新昌名胜古迹大佛寺与穿岩十九峰之间澄潭社古。有着山川秀丽的奇山、怪石、秀竹、茂林加上溪水潺潺，宛若天然的盆景。
本企业占地面积二千多平方米，厂房千多平方米。现有固定资产320万元，总资产580万元，员工68人。拥有的工程技术人员和管理人员，其中技术人员5人。设两个主车间，数个分车间。并在新昌县城区设有金阳食品批发。年产值1500多万元，利润150多万元。主要从事开发加工我县农特产品，品种有：芋饺、年糕饺、水饺、春卷、贡丸、冰棍等。
2005年投资200万元，对厂房进行改造，购买检测设备，道速冻机、产品成型机等。率先通过速冻米面和冷冻饮品qs量安全认证。2005年“益心”芋饺被评为浙江省农业博览会优奖，2007年＂益心＂芋饺被评为浙江省农业博览会金奖。
为提高新昌名特产品——“益心”芋饺的品牌度。确保产品从原料到产品的优。建立蕃薯、芋艿、蔬菜等基地500亩，带动周农户350多户，既为企业提供优安全的原料渠道，也为基地农户及周农户增加收入。为拓宽市场，提高企业度，于2007年6月注册“益心”商标。为企业今后的发展奠定基础。
