For me, the new year brings change, I will be leaving Vodafone at the end of January after 10 years of service. I've had a lot of great times, created many great memories and experiences and made some great friends along the way. The business has come a long way also, I certainly leave it in a much better place than when I joined in 2015 when we had billing issues, Ofcom fines, record Ofcom complaints and a brand which had lost its way. All of this has changed for the better, as has the network and I'm confident the next 12 months will see many more improvements across the board. I'd like to thank the many great people across the business and in partner organisations who I have had the pleasure to work with for their support, professionalism and for creating great memories, I will miss you all. No plans as yet for the future, stay tuned for updates.

Chris Bamber har gillat dettaChris Bamber har gillat dettaA few months ago I left a flyer at my local coffee shop with the words: “Dad Chat” on it. A meet-up for dads looking to connect over brutiful* (brutal and beautiful), messy moments of being a parent. Whether they were seasoned or new to the game, a stay-at-home dad or a working dad — the group was open to all. I never expected the amount of Dads and their bairns to show up. We’re told “men don’t talk”. This is one of the most devastating things we can believe. But a few months on, there’s a community of 25 of us local dads. We meet once a month, even in torrential train. - We talk about the peaks and troughs of parenthood. - It’s men offering other men words of comfort and wisdom with a hand in the shoulder. - Dads bringing themselves, nervous but willing, in a public effort to connect, reach out and normalise what I means to look after their mental health. At a time of incredible conflict, disconnection, and polarisation — people want community. Dads want community. They need it. The most beautiful thing is seeing others sound the country set up groups too. If you’re thinking about it, do it. People will come. #dads #parenthood #malementalhealth
