Yorkshire's gone international. 🌍 We’re thrilled to see Educating Yorkshire – Series 2 nominated for a 2026 International Emmy Award in the Non-Scripted Entertainment category. 🎉 The series captures the realities of growing up and teaching in modern Britain, telling heartfelt, humorous and authentic stories from inside the classroom at Thornhill Community Academy and beyond. Congratulations to everyone at Twofour, the incredible staff and pupils featured in the series, and all those who helped bring it to life. We'll be cheering it on from Yorkshire all the way to the Emmys in New York.

About us
Channel 4 is free-to-air and freely available to all of the UK. We have the UK’s biggest free streaming service, plus a network of six television channels. Since Channel 4 was created in 1982, it has been at the centre of national conversations and a catalyst for the creation of a world-beating production sector in the UK. Our purpose is to create change through entertainment. We do this by representing unheard voices, challenging with purpose and reinventing entertainment. Our unique model – commercially-funded but publicly-owned – means that we’re able to offer independent and distinctive, universal content reflecting the interests of different communities across the UK. As a publisher-broadcaster, Channel 4 commissions UK content from the independent production sector and currently works with around 300 creative companies across the UK every year. We have the youngest-skewing public service channel in the UK – and we reach more 16-34-year-olds than any other commercial broadcaster across streaming and TV. Through Film4, Channel 4 invests in British filmmakers to huge critical acclaim, winning 43 Oscars and 97 BAFTAs since inception. Channel 4’s board ensures that we fulfil our remit and deliver our financial responsibilities. Channel 4 will never request bank details from job applicants in connection with a job offer. Any official job offers will only be made through Channel Four Television Corporation directly, and not through any subsidiaries. Please remain cautious and report any suspicious communications claiming to represent Channel 4.

Responsible advertising matters That’s why Channel 4 is proud to support the Advertising Standards Authority’s latest awareness campaign. When people know that UK advertising is regulated, they’re more likely to trust the ads they see 📺 Together with the Advertising Association, Leith and WPP Media’s EssenceMediacom, we’re helping to put greater awareness of advertising regulation in the spotlight 💡 Because a healthier advertising ecosystem starts with trust. Look out for the ASA campaign over the coming weeks 👀 Read more about the ASA's campaign through the link in the comments below

Two public service broadcasters. One historic partnership. We’ve today announced that from 2027, Channel 4 Sales will become the exclusive advertising sales partner for a broad portfolio of Paramount brands in the UK, including its public service network, 5. By bringing together advertising sales for Channel 4 and 5 under one roof for the first time, we're creating compelling new opportunities for brands to reach larger audiences, while supporting both broadcasters' continued investment in British content. It will also generate new commercial opportunities for two distinctive commercial PSBs, helping support further investment in British programming.” Through this partnership, Channel 4 Sales will assume responsibility for airtime sales across 5’s portfolio of TV and streaming channels, including 5, Milkshake!, 5USA, 5Star, 5Select and 5Action.
