The Flag is a performance series held at a very special location on the final Thursday of each month. It is also a series of conversations between the artists that are featured each month.

Evening-length programs feature one solo act and one group performance. Programs will only feature transgender artists. Performers are encouraged to create site-specific performances. To facilitate this, performers are offered time in the venue in advance of their performances to experiment and rehearse.

The Flag is an attempt to assemble collectively-held resources (access to space, gear, shared skills, funding, etc.), and to strategize and mobilize towards a viable future for transgender artists. New York City is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in, transitioning is often costly, and the state is breathing down our necks. While this series is simply incapable of solving these complex problems, it is an attempt to "throw resources into the pile" for us. Simultaneously, this is a moment to relay stories by transgender artists in our own words, so that others don't do it for us. Let this be an auditory and written record of our craft, creativity, and ingenuity.

The fourth edition of The Flag will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026. It features Lulu West and Brenna Rey. Doors open at 7:30 PM and music starts at 8:00 PM.
