What’s illegal is profiting from someone else’s sex work — pimping, running a brothel as a business, agencies taking a cut (Portuguese Penal Code, articles 169-170). What does “verified” mean on TGND?
Photos checked against the ad, a working Portuguese number that answers, and a manual review that rejects duplicates and scam patterns — before any profile goes live. How do I avoid fake profiles?
Three habits catch most fakes. Never pay anything before meeting — no “deposits”, no gift cards, no crypto; that’s the single biggest scam in this market. Distrust photos that look like magazine covers with prices far below the local range. And keep first contact on WhatsApp with the number on the profile — if someone redirects you to a different number or app, walk away.
Is WhatsApp a safe way to make contact?
