Thanks! I see in the log: Error converting DSO data! Cannot open file ".\nebulae\default\catalog.pack" This is strange, but it may depend by user' permissions. Do you see the same error when catalog.pack is created by hands?

No need create catalog.pack file by hands - it should be created by Stellarium. Please share the log.txt file from Stellarium (after attempt of conversion of course)

I was thrown off by the Telescope Control configuration window which still showed CNTL-1 to slew, CNTL-3 to Synch, and CNTL-5 to cancel. Probably you was seen settings from removed StellariumScope

Yes, this is a limitation of any GEM (German equatorial mount) device, but for example open fork or horseshoe mounts do not have these limitations. So, you want to see GEM simulation.

Telescope Control plugin can send RA/Dec into mount only, he can't receive position of telescope. Of course the plugin may be enhanced to support send/receive coordinates, but... both Stellarium developers has no time for this plugin at the moment.

Brothers Guillaume and Fabien Chereau are author of Stellarium Mobile (based on desktop edition of Stellarium) and Stellarium Mobile Plus (it's new one application). Both of brothers are developers of desktop edition of Stellarium also.

You can edit qs.mag in your system already, because this is simple text file in modules/Satellites directory, but (!) in current beta I've hide this data file into resources data of plugin. I've made it by 2 reasons - probably no users, who edit this file (your question is first for this issue) and qs.mag was last edited by Mike in 2017 year. So, I tried reduce messys in users system. In additional to qs.mag I've added RCS data for 17000+ satellites from Mike McCants'...
