Wonderful open-source floor planner with 3D views, very easy and intuitive to get you up and running in no time. Many thanks to developer/s for this I am very grateful. If you have trouble starting it giving a DirectX/OpenGL error add : export JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS="-Dcom.eteks.sweethome3d.j3d.useOffScreen3DView=true" This solution I found on github

A munkám miatt használom a Sweet Home 3D programot. Amíg Windows 7 programom volt, korlátozottan tudtam használni. Most telepítettem a Windows 10 programot. Megvásároltam a licencet nem az ingyenes program lett letöltve. Sajnos evvel sem tudom a textúrákat használni. Letöltöm, de nem működik. Ebben kérek segítséget.

It had been awhile since I had used this project software but recently found a need for it. I had uninstalled it so I downloaded it and installed it but got a Microsoft Security notice that the software was suspect and I chose to uninstall it. Why is software that causes security issues, like this, allowed to be present as a Sourceforge project?

I used this software to project my new house. Very useful and intuitive!

Intutive, hundreds of options to help organize your projects the way you envision them, tons of free objects available on the iNet to populate your builds or landscape projects. A really fast processer (newest tech available) is highly desirable as the system grows over time - but that is the general comment for all software so should be expected. The author and major contributors are very responsive to 'how to' questions - most of which have already been answered and available to peruse in the various blogs. All for free - quite amazing!

I use this for set design when I'm directing plays. It's a great help in laying out the stage and calculating dimensions for building the set and blocking the actors using the available figures and furniture.

Sweet Home 3D (SH3D) is definitely not on par with the software program meant for professional architectural designing; that is, you may not be able to create any and all structures using SH3D. Nonetheless, SH3D is something that's as pro stuff as you can ever get for completely free. It's a great bridge between the robust pro software and the user-friendly casual one. SH3D packs a plethora of design features and tools, and yet manages to be extremely easy to learn and to use. Furthermore, there are regular updates that weed out bugs and improve upon prior versions, and at the same time making the interface more clutter-free and modern. Even novice individuals will be able to design their own homes in under a couple hours straight, right immediately after downloading SH3D for the first time. You can draw 2D plans and print them out, to be handed over to the construction engineer for reference; create a 3D model and decorate both the exteriors and interiors, so as to get the tiny details right; make a video walkthrough of the house; and so much more. Not just the software but also the hundreds and hundreds of furniture items and textures are completely free and as close to pro stuff as you can possibly get anywhere else. Thank you SH3D for this wonderful piece of software and everything that goes with it, and for allowing us to use them with not a dear dime going out of our pockets.

Apart from the older look and somehow non-intuitive nor modern UI and shortcuts, the functionality is absolutely astonishing :) I am glad I have found this program.

Nice program

Generally a very good project trying to fix in a very comprehensive manner the most tasks related to smartly designing your home inside! I like very much its unique realtime 3D simulating during even designing in progress. I would like to get it extended to the outdoor, the garden rounding your house, meaning to become a complete Residence Home design as you may get some ideas from Garden Planner! The issue of this project is that it seems to forget the essential dimensions to be PERMANENTLY overlayed in its 2D plan diagram in order to be useful for more than a simply on screen design game... Any architecture related plan should have visible main dimensions on it rather than approximate them from a measurement scale ! Another feature to be better fixed as demanded for next release is to extend editing the dimensions in any object properties panel then automatically followed by updating its dimensions in the plan. There are still more objects that are not resizable by direct dimension numeric editing

i'm a gamedev and i never find such an amazing open-source software it because it is a good thing to allow users to use any software and then if they make any money by using it then there are 100% chances that person will donate or spend some extra money on that software i that's what i did thanku guys to make this software an open source

Soy novato en el uso de este sistema de creación y edición, he probado otros pero ninguno tan fácil e intuitivo como este. Para quien recién comience en esta área sin duda encontrara que mas fácil que con este programa es imposible. Infinitas gracias a los desarroladores !!
