Note! Code and issues are maintained at https://github.com/sba1/simplemail. SimpleMail is a simple to use but powerful mail client. It supports the SMTP, POP3 and IMAP (in a simple form) protocols. Furthermore, among much other features, it is capable of showing HTML mails and can identify spam mails by using a Bayesian filter.

Instead of requiring cygwin and all it's dependencies, I'm going to build Dynamips on MinGW. I am currently using a fork of the latest GIT source. So far, I've been able to run things that I can run with the Cygwin version, and some of the broken features are on par. I've also been able to merge in the 'unstable' PowerPC core which can run things the 'stable' cannot. Transport wise, I've gotten it to talk with pcap and UDP. I have the groundwork to make it dynamic so that pcap isn't required to run it, so you can run dynamips without installing anything. I hope to add some different underlying networking connections.

EtherDFS is an 'installable filesystem' TSR for DOS. It maps a drive from a remote computer (typically Linux-based) to a local drive letter, using raw ethernet frames to communicate. For years, I was using LapLink to transfer files between my various "retro" computers. It works, yes, but it's also annoyingly slow and requires constant attention. One day I thought, "Wouldn't it be amazing if all my PCs could share a common network drive, similarly to how NFS operates in the *nix world?". This day EtherDFS was born. I clearly didn't invent anything - the concept has been around almost as long as the first IBM PC, and several commercial products addressed that need in the past. I am not aware, however, of any free and open-source solution.

icsdrone acts as an interface between an ICS (Internet Chess Server) and a chess engine supporting the XBoard/WinBoard protocol. Unlike XBoard/WinBoard it does not use a graphical interface so it is suitable for use on embedded systems. icsdrone was originally developed for FICS (the Free Internet Chess Server) by Henrik Gram but currently ICC (the Internet Chess Club) works as well. Some features - "Daemon mode" (run in background). - Auto reconnection in case of network problems. - Builtin support for using timeseal. - An ICS proxy. When instructed via the "proxy" option, icsdrone acts as a proxy for the ICS it is connected to. This is similar to using xboard with zippy but now the "GUI" (xboard/winboard) can be closed without terminating the engine.

Pluto is an email and newsgroup reader for the RISC OS operating system (see https://www.riscosopen.org/), developed by Jonathan Duddington from 1997 to 2004. It stores emails and news articles in Boxes, and they can be Listed, Viewed, Written, Spell checked, Replied to, Searched and even Spoken out loud! After Pluto was released under GPLv3 here on SourceForge in 2013, it has had many improvements. Pluto runs on any version of RISC OS later than v3.10, including RISC OS 5 computers such as the Raspberry Pi, BeagleBoard, IGEPv5, Iyonix, PandaBoard, Wandboard, PineA64 and Titanium as well as the older Risc PC and Archimedes series. From v3.16 onwards the RISC OS version of eSpeak is not included in the Pluto download, but separately in the Files espeak directory. pop3spam is a POP3 client which connects to a POP3 server and deletes unsolicited mail in-place. It's possible to check for messages that exceed a certain limit and to scan header lines for special patterns (regular expressions).
