When an AI agent reorders stock for a neighbourhood restaurant, a purchase order isn't enough. The agent needs to pay — across cards, bank transfer or stablecoin, without a human clicking confirm. Most payment systems today are still built for people. FOMO Pay and Google Cloud are working together to bring autonomous, agent-initiated payments to Asia, from intelligent payment infrastructure to early implementations of Google’s Agent Payment Protocol (AP2). The FOMO AI Soundbox, launched in March 2026, accepts cards, PayNow, e-wallets and stablecoins on a single device. With Google Cloud's AP2 layered on top, a merchant can set a rule: when cabbage stock drops below 10 units, the agent identifies the supplier, reorders, pays on its own. 𝐀 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 National Payments Corporation Of India (NPCI) 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥: FOMO Pay 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐏𝐈 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞 FOMO Pay announced a strategic partnership with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) to enable UPI QR acceptance for merchants in Singapore. Resorts World Sentosa is among the first merchant partners under the initiative. Indian visitors can use their preferred UPI apps to make payments in Indian Rupees when booking and purchasing through the Resorts World Sentosa website, while merchants receive settlement in Singapore Dollars. Announced today at the Global Fintech Fest 2026, the partnership lets Indian travellers pay with the UPI apps they already use at home, on a network of 500M+ active users and 24 billion monthly transactions. Indian visitors can now book and pay in Indian Rupee (INR) on the Resorts World Sentosa website, while the merchant settles in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Singapore welcomed 1.2 million Indian visitors in 2025, making India its fifth-largest source market. "India is one of Singapore's most important and fastest-growing visitor markets, and Indian consumers are among the most digitally savvy in the world.
