The assistant only ever sees the companies you have access to, and only acts when you ask it to. ### Cap table & equity Shareholders, ownership %, share classes, the option pool and a fully-diluted breakdown. ### Documents Find documents, check signing status, share them and send signature reminders. ### What needs attention Unsigned documents, upcoming deadlines and events you’ve started but not yet approved. ### Multiple companies If you have access to more than one company, the assistant works on one at a time and asks which you mean. It doesn't cover invoicing, payroll, accounting, banking, CRM or generic legal advice. If you ask for something out of scope, the assistant will say so plainly. ## How to connect Any SeedLegals user can connect — just search for SeedLegals in your assistant’s connector directory and sign in with your existing account. No password is shared with the assistant, and no download is required. Pick your tool below. Search for `SeedLegals` Claude (claude.ai & Desktop)1. Open Settings → Connectors, then click “Browse connectors”. 2. Search for **SeedLegals** and select it from the results. 3. Click “Connect” and sign in with your SeedLegals account. 4. Start a new chat — SeedLegals now appears in the tools menu. Connectors in Claude are available on the Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. ChatGPT1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors. 2. Search the directory for **SeedLegals**. 3. Click “Connect” and authorise with your SeedLegals account. 4. In a new chat, pick SeedLegals from the “+” menu to use it. Can’t find it? Add it manuallyIf your assistant doesn’t list SeedLegals, add it as a custom connector using this URL: ``` https://api.seedlegals.com/mcp ``` Look for “Add custom connector” (Claude) or “Add custom app” (ChatGPT), paste the URL, then complete the sign-in flow. ## What you can ask | What you want | Ask the assistant | What it does | | --- | --- | --- | | Understand your ownership | “Who are the shareholders in Acme Ltd and what percentage does each own?” | The assistant finds Acme Ltd and returns the shareholder list with ownership percentages, the option pool and the fully-diluted split. | | Stay on top of what’s due | “What’s outstanding for Acme right now?” | It lists unsigned documents (flagging the ones waiting on you), upcoming deadlines and any events you’ve started but not finished. | | Check a document | “Who still needs to sign the EMI option agreement, and has it been fully signed?” | It reports the signing status — who has signed, who hasn’t, and whether the document is complete. | | Take an action | “Remind the people who still need to sign the EMI option agreement.” | It checks who hasn’t signed, confirms with you, then sends the reminder emails. | ## What the assistant can do for you Reads Lists every company you have access to. Reads Cap table for a company — shareholders, ownership, option pool and fully-diluted breakdown. Reads A document’s details and signing status — who has signed and who still needs to. Reads What’s outstanding for a company: unsigned documents, deadlines and in-progress events. Acts Shares a document with people and/or companies, with an optional preview. Acts Emails a signature reminder for a document to the recipients you specify. Acts Create and share a quick agreement. Reads Records a gap when the connector can’t help — only after you explicitly opt in. ## Privacy & your data - The connector only accesses data for companies your account is already permitted to see. - It collects no extraneous conversation data — feedback is only ever recorded after you explicitly agree. - Your identity comes from your authenticated session, not from anything the assistant infers. ## Frequently asked questions Do I need a developer account or an API key?No. You connect by signing in with your existing SeedLegals account — the connector handles authorisation through a standard, secure sign-in flow. There’s nothing to install and no key to manage. Which companies can the assistant see?Only the companies your SeedLegals account already has access to. Connecting an assistant never widens what you can see — the same permissions apply. Can the assistant change or delete my data?It can only take the specific actions you ask for, such as sharing a document or sending a signature reminder, and it confirms before sending anything. It cannot delete data, and everything stays within your existing permissions. Which AI assistants are supported?Claude (web and Desktop), ChatGPT and Gemini — and any other tool that supports remote MCP connectors over HTTP. Can I use it without a human in the loop?No. The connector requires you to sign in and authorise access, so it isn’t designed for fully automated or headless workflows.
