I'm very happy to have joined Fika Jobs on a mission to build a better way for candidates and companies to find their next match. ✨ Jakob Dubois and Alexander Dubois obsession with product experience and design is our differentiator, and I feel that my own obsession with detail has finally found its home after two decades of building products at the intersection of design and engineering. This round gives us the chance to build Fika Jobs at the scale we’ve always imagined and help many more people find work where they truly thrive. Today, anyone can generate a polished resume or cover letter with AI, while companies increasingly use AI to screen candidates too. When every application becomes optimized, polished, and AI-generated, how do you actually get to know the person behind it? We believe the resume was built for a different era. In the AI era, the best way to understand a candidate won’t be through another static document - it will be through AI video conversations. Fika Jobs takes its name from the Swedish tradition of fika: a relaxed coffee chat where people actually get to know each other. We’re bringing that idea into the AI era through personal AI video conversations that help candidates show who they really are, not just what fits on a resume. A big reason we started Fika Jobs is that too many people spend their weeks waiting for 5pm, longing for Friday, and feeling like work is just something to get through. We want to help people find roles and teams where they can actually thrive. But for that to happen, companies and candidates need a better way to understand each other. Today, hiring is becoming more automated on both sides. Candidates use AI to apply. Companies use AI to screen. And somewhere in the middle, we’re losing the actual person. Our bet is that it starts with a conversation - one that feels more like a fika: relaxed, honest, and human. This round gives us the chance to bring that to many more people. This one means a lot!
